Looking for an obscure underdog bet for Week 2 in the NFL? How about the 49ers to cover against the Saints on Monday night?
The trends are in favor of the 49ers pulling off an ATS upset. San Francisco may have tanked against the Seahawks in Week 1, but that was on the road in Seattle. Back home the 49ers have been tough to beat with a four-game winning streak and a 3-0-1 ATS record. They're also an excellent 9-2 SU and 7-2-2 ATS in their last 11 games at Candlestick. With so many historical angles and situational analysis pointing to a big effort for SF, finding a great underdog line (such as those found at Sportsbook and Sportsbook) should be top of mind for Week 2 bettors.

The 49ers may be a 4.5-point home underdog against the Saints at Sportsbook, but that also plays into their favor on the trends. In their last 10 games as the underdog the 49ers are 7-1-2 ATS. The 49ers are definitely worth a couple bucks as an underdog. If you're a totals bettor the trends are giving you what looks like an easy UNDER Sportsbook in Week 2. The Buccaneers and Panthers have been filling UNDER bettors' pockets for awhile now and they collide in Week 2 in Carolina.
Sportsbook Look at the Bucs' total results. Tampa Bay has gone UNDER the total in their last four road games and they're 5-2 to the UNDER in their last seven away from home. Even more impressive is that they have posted eight straight UNDER results overall. The Panthers have been an UNDER lock for bettors as well. Carolina has gone UNDER the total in their last four home games and they're 6-1 to the UNDER in their last seven in Carolina. They've also posted a 6-2 record to the UNDER in their last eight games.
With Carolina possibly having to start rookie QB Jimmy Clausen for the first time, and Tampa Bay QB Josh Freeman still recovering from a broken thumb, offense will likely be at a premium in this one so put your money on the UNDER. Another trendy pick for Week 2 are the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals get the Ravens at home in Week 2 and for some reason they've had Baltimore's number for awhile. Cincinnati has won their last two games against Baltimore and they covered the spread both times. In their last seven versus the Ravens they're 5-2 SU and ATS, and in their last 11 against Baltimore they're 8-3 SU and ATS. Also worth noting is that Cincy is 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five home games versus the Ravens.
