NFL Week 6 Sunday Games News & Notes

The Denver Broncos have an extreme edge in the power rankings for their matchup on Sunday against the New York Jets, which has made them the top consensus pick for the Week 6 slate

Denver is No. 1 on the OddsShark NFL Power Rankings for this week, and they're listed as 10-point road favorites against the Jets, who are way back at No. 28 in the Power Rankings. The NFL Consensus Picks at OddsShark for this week had the Broncos sitting with 67% support on that betting line as of Saturday night.

Matchup Reports: Broncos vs. Jets | Chargers vs. Raiders | Jaguars vs. Titans

The San Diego Chargers, 7-point favorites at Oakland, are also sitting with 67% support, and the OddsShark Computer predicts that will be the most lopsided game of the week with the Raiders falling 33-9. That made that game an easy choice as one of the five OddsShark Super Contest Week 6 picks.

Will the Jacksonville Jaguars manage to score at least 20 points on the road against the Tennessee Titans this week? A current NFL prop at Bovada asks how many times the Jags will put up 20 points in 2014; so far this year in five games (all losses) the most points they've scored is 17. The OddsShark Computer has Jacksonville losing 16-11 at Tennessee this week.

In a roundup of Week 6 stats, the Chicago Bears are on a 3-14 ATS run in Week 6 of the NFL season, with the Cincinnati Bengals 5-14-1 ATS, and the Seattle Seahawks 3-10 ATS. The Packers and Eagles have both been profitable in Week 6, with Green Bay 6-1-1 in their last eight Week 6 games and Philadelphia 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 Week 6 games.

And on the injury front, Cardinals QB Carson Palmer remains questionable for this week with his shoulder injury, with Drew Stanton cleared from his concussion and ready to start in his place. Titans QB Jake Locker is questionable with a hand injury, leaving Charlie Whitehurst as the team's probable starter against the Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.
