Odds on who wins first: Browns or 49ers

The Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers are the definition of futility in the NFL. Both of these downtrodden franchises are 0-6 and neither looks like it’s ready to get into the win column any time soon. Experts knew both of these teams would be bad this year, but 0-6? You can thank Hue Jackson and Kyle Shanahan for that. Repeated miscues from the coaching staff have put these teams in a hole and fans are already counting down the days until the 2018 draft.

Bettors should take a hard look at Cleveland to go 0-16. Online sportsbook Sportsbook has them at +200 to get a win before San Francisco but it might be a ripoff. Their best chance to get a victory so far was in Week 5 against the “supposed to be tanking” New York Jets. Cleveland’s schedule also doesn’t get easier for its remaining 10 games as the Browns play eight of the top 10 passing defenses. Their only hope may be when they host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13, as the Browns got their only win last season against Philip Rivers and company.

The San Francisco 49ers are -300 at Sportsbook to win before Cleveland does and there’s a reason for that. The 49ers have lost their last five games by a combined score of 13 points. It’s only a matter of time before they break through with struggling teams like the Cowboys, Giants, Bears and Jaguars still left to play. Shanahan can manufacture some sort of gimmicky offense to help propel them to a victory.

It’s hard to believe the Browns and 49ers both started the season with O/U win totals of 5. Any bettors who made a wager on the UNDER must be impressed with themselves as they watch these teams stumble every week.
