Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The Sportsbook odds on this game have remained steady with Pittsburgh going off as a 2.5-point road favorite. The total is now sitting at 46.5 points since Sportsbook at 47.5 points. The Steelers are 10-2 SU and ATS in their last 12 games against the Bills, but Buffalo did win the last game between these two teams 17-10 last season in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh News & Notes

The Steelers got off to a sluggish start in Monday’s game against Washington coming off just four days’ rest after playing the Baltimore Ravens the previous Wednesday. But despite failing to score in the first quarter, Pittsburgh scored the first two touchdowns of the game and took a 14-3 lead into the half. Whether it was fatigue catching up to them or just a bad half of football, the Steelers went on to lose the game 23-17 to bring an end to their undefeated 11-0 SU season.

Pittsburgh is still an outstanding 11-1 SU and 8-4 ATS after the loss. The Steelers hold the tiebreaker over the Kansas City Chiefs for the top spot in the AFC due to their conference record, which is still 8-0 SU with their loss coming to an NFC team.

As the Steelers attempt to keep their perfect record in the AFC intact, they could once again be without kicker Chris Boswell, who is listed as questionable with a hip injury.

Buffalo News & Notes

Josh Allen torched the San Francisco 49ers with a dominant performance on Monday night, completing 32 of his 40 pass attempts for 375 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Allen’s big game led the Bills to a 34-24 win, moving them to 9-3 SU and 7-5 ATS on the season and to 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS over their last six games. Buffalo enters this week’s action with a one-game lead over the Miami Dolphins for the top spot in the AFC East.

The Bills’ pass-heavy offense will get a tough test Sunday night against the Steelers. Buffalo ranks third in the NFL in passing yards per game with 276.4 while Pittsburgh ranks second-best in the league in passing defense, allowing only 199.8 passing yards per game.

Betting Pick: UNDER 47.5 points

It wouldn’t be too surprising to see a shootout between Ben Roethlisberger and Josh Allen. But with two of the best teams in the league clashing in a meaningful game in December, this one should have a playoff-like atmosphere with both defenses dialed in. Look for a competitive game that stays UNDER the posted total.
