After riding RG III – almost to the point of exhaustion - to a playoff berth last year, the Washington Redskins will try to avoid an 0-3 start to this season when they host the 1-1 Detroit Lions Sunday afternoon at FedExField (1 pm ET, Fox).

As of early this week the 'Skins were favored by two points over the Lions, who just lost out in Arizona. But looking at the trends in this one, the line could be much bigger.

Washington 13-0 SU (10-3 ATS) at home to the Lions since 1981. Overall, Detroit is 2-18 SU lifetime at Washington.

Add in the Lions 2-11-1 ATS run in their past 14 road games and you have a recipe for a Redskins win, according to the NFL database anyway.
