It's time to break down Saints vs Chiefs odds for Week 5's Monday Night Football contest.
The sportsbooks have the Chiefs has 5.5-point favorites, but I'm going to back the Saints. I think there's a chance New Orleans wins this one outright, handing Kansas City its first loss, so I'll for sure take the Saints at +5.5.
Let's take a look at the latest Chiefs vs Saints odds and my best bets for this Week 5 matchup.

Saints vs Chiefs Picks Week 5
Saints +5.5 (-102)
Honestly, I'm still pretty high on the Saints — even after back to back losses. Both losses came by fewer than four points, they've still got a +57 point differential, and the Saints still rank out as the NFL's top team in net expected points added.
The Chiefs may seem like a scary matchup, given that they're 4-0, but I don't think so. For starters, KC has only covered this 5.5-point line in half their contests this season, yet to win a game by more than one possession. They rank close to league average in net EPA. And, they're quite injured right now.
With injuries to Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown and Isiah Pacheco, KC has lost arguably three of their four biggest offensive weapons. Patrick Mahomes is great, for sure, but it's hard to cover a six-point spread without half your offense.
Saints vs Chiefs Prop Pick
All The Derek Carr Props!
The Chiefs have allowed the second-fewest rushing yards per game over the last three weeks (70.3), so I expect New Orleans to try their luck in the passing game. So, with that in mind, I'm looking at the following Derek Carr props for this matchup:
Carr has gone over 220.5 passing yards in four of his last five road games. He's also gone over 1.5 passing touchdowns in seven of his last nine games, overall. These Carr betting insights are both courtesy of Outlier betting trends.
Saints vs Chiefs News
I'd say the biggest storyline to monitor here is how the Chiefs look without top receiver Rashee Rice. With Hollywood Brown also injured, the bulk of KC's passes are going to go to TE Travis Kelce and rookie WR Xavier Worthy. That's a lot of pressure on the first-year receiver.
The Chiefs have been involved in trade rumors for both Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill, though it's unlikely either of those deals gets done before MNF. Maybe a stinker against the Saints would prompt a big move, though.
