2021 NFL Season: Player O/U Stats Betting Props

NFL season stat player props are here, for players like Calvin Ridley.

There are almost 80 OVER/UNDER player props for regular-season stats like passing yards, receiving yards and rushing touchdowns available at Bovada, and the online shop is featuring some of the biggest names in the game.

Potential breakout players like Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy and Nick Chubb are highlighted along with a 2021 NFL MVP candidate Matthew Stafford, among others.

You can even bet on O/U passing stats for quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft after a standout collegiate career with the Clemson Tigers.

Let’s look at some of the players from the defending champion Buccaneers, as well as players who are set to break out and other notable 2021 O/U season props that bettors need to be aware of.

Tom Brady And The Defending Champion Buccaneers

Tom Brady looks to build off his Super Bowl-winning 2020 NFL season. The Bucs are bringing back every starter from their winning roster, which will make things much easier for the 44-year-old GOAT.

Looking at the numbers, Brady’s O/U for touchdown passes is 36.5 and for passing yards is 4,750.5.

Brady threw for 40 touchdowns last season as doubts about him getting old were quickly forgotten. Tom heads into his 21st season in the NFL with the best weapons he has likely had in his career. He has stud wide receivers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, who have each shown flashes of greatness when healthy.

Godwin’s O/U prop for touchdowns is set at 7.5 while Evans is set at 9; Godwin’s OVER/UNDER for receiving yards is at 1,080.5 while Evans is at 1,050.5.

Here are the current O/U season stats betting lines for the trio of Brady, Evans and Godwin.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley went on a tear last season as a top receiver. With one more year under his belt, Ridley appears to be well on his way to another incredible season.

He looked very promising in his first couple of years in the NFL but showed the world what he is truly capable of with an amazing 2020 season. He eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career and did it with ease.

As the top option for Atlanta QB Matt Ryan, sportsbooks have set his O/U for touchdowns and receiving yards at 10 and 1,350.5 respectively.

Ridley surpassed this total with 1,374 yards last season, and I expect him to build off of that with an even better season this year. On top of his uncanny abilities, the Falcons will likely be passing the ball A LOT this season. Look for Ridley to rack up the yards and potentially have the most receiving yards in the NFL this season.

Best Bet: Calvin Ridley OVER 1,350.5 Receiving Yards (-130)

Jerry Jeudy Player Props

Jerry Jeudy - 2021 OVER/UNDER Receiving Yards
OptionOdds
OVER 920.5-115
UNDER 920.5-115

Jerry Jeudy - 2021 OVER/UNDER Receiving TDs
OptionOdds
OVER 4.5-165
UNDER 4.5+125

Another receiving yards total that I really like is for young Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy had a pretty good rookie year for the Broncos, but it could have been a lot better.

He went off for 856 yards and three touchdowns last season without a consistent quarterback. All of this took place while he struggled with drops and had only a 46 percent catch rate.

The Broncos had a difficult time working with their QBs, who struggled mightily to get anything going last season. With the acquisition of former Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater this offseason, it should bode well for the sophomore WR.

Bridgewater loves throwing the ball short, and with Jeudy’s catch-and-run ability, he should rack up a lot of yards this season. If he can limit the drops and continue to improve, Jeudy could very well surpass the 1,000 yards receiving total.

Looking at Jeudy’s totals, his O/U for touchdowns and receiving yards this season are set at 4.5 and 920.5.

Best Bet: Jerry Jeudy OVER 920.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

NFL Player Props For 2 MVP Candidates

Lastly, we’ll break down the available player prop betting markets for a couple of players found on this year’s MVP oddsboard: Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb and the new quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams, Matthew Stafford.

Nick Chubb Player Props

Here are the current O/U season stats betting lines for the stud running back:

Nick Chubb - 2021 OVER/UNDER Rushing Yards
OptionOdds
OVER 1350.5-115
UNDER 1350.5-115

Odds as of September 8 at Bovada

Nick Chubb - 2021 OVER/UNDER Rushing TDs
OptionOdds
OVER 11.5-115
UNDER 11.5-115

Odds as of September 8 at Bovada

Nick Chubb is ready to go bonkers this season. Chubb is coming off two Pro Bowl seasons where he almost eclipsed the 1,500-yard rushing mark in 2019, and eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in 2020 while only playing 12 games.

Looking ahead to this season, Chubb is poised for another 1,500-yard season if he remains healthy.

The Cleveland Browns might very well have the best offensive line in all of football. Led by Joel Bitonio, J.C. Tretter, Wyatt Teller and Jack Conklin, the Browns are loaded at the position. This bodes very well for Chubb and Kareem Hunt.

Pick A Top NFL Sportsbook Today

Chubb set a career high in yards per attempt last season, and could possibly improve that mark once again. With that offensive line and a team that will likely be winning a lot of games, I love Chubb to exceed his rushing yards total this year. Another thing that should be noted is that extra game on the schedule.

Looking at Chubb’s totals, his O/U for rushing TDs and rushing yards are 11.5 TDs and 1,350.5 yards.

Best Bet: Nick Chubb OVER 1,350.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Matthew Stafford Player Props

One of the most underrated QBs in all of football is getting overlooked in my opinion. Stafford is on the best roster he has ever been a part of by a big margin. Although he has not been a touchdown machine by any means, he has a great receiving corps that includes Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods.

Matthew Stafford - 2021 OVER/UNDER Passing Yards
OptionOdds
OVER 4595.5-115
UNDER 4595.5-115

Odds as of September 8 at Bovada

Matthew Stafford - 2021 OVER/UNDER Passing TDs
OptionOdds
OVER 29.5-115
UNDER 29.5-115

Odds as of September 8 at Bovada

Stafford finished last season with 26 touchdown passes throwing behind a mediocre offensive line and with Kenny Golladay injured for the vast majority of the season. On top of that, the Rams defense is going to get the ball in Stafford’s hands a lot.

If Stafford is 100 percent healthy, there is no doubt in my mind that he will eclipse both of these totals and be in the running for NFL MVP this season.

His O/U totals for passing yards and passing TDs are 4,595.5 and 29.5, respectively.

Best Bet: Matthew Stafford OVER 4,595.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Understanding NFL OVER/UNDER Season Stat Player Props

When you check out your sportsbook of choice for NFL betting props like OVER/UNDER passing yards for Tom Brady, you’ll see prop odds that look something like this:

OVER 4750.5 Passing Yards +105

UNDER 4750.5 Passing Yards -135

To bet on these odds, you would be making a prop bet – more on that in a bit. In this case, there is no clear favorite like there would be on a moneyline or spread bet.

If you think Tom Brady will pass for more than 4,225 yards, and you bet $100 on that option, you’d get a payout of $205 – you get your $100 back along with your winnings of $105. Our Odds Calculator will show you how much you’d win based on the odds and amount bet.

What Is An NFL Prop Bet?

prop is a bet on the occurrence or non-occurrence of certain outcomes that may not necessarily determine the outcome of a game. You can make a bet like this as soon as the odds are announced. Oddsmakers will move the lines as news comes out about a player’s offensive game plan and the team/talent around him. If you see odds you like, place your bet immediately, otherwise, the action could move so much that you’ll barely make a profit or maybe even not make one at all.
