Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The Rams opened as a 1-point favorite at home and received enough early betting action to move the line to Los Angeles -2. The movement on the total has been greater as OVER bets on the Sportsbook line of 53.5 points have driven the total up to 55.5 points. The OVER is 4-1 in the last five games between these teams.

Seattle News & Notes

The Seahawks are just one season removed from ranking in the top 10 in the NFL on defense in both total yards allowed and points per game allowed. In 2020, Seattle ranks dead last in the league by allowing 455.8 total yards per game and is 30th in scoring defense, yielding 30.4 points per game. Those defensive woes were on clear display in the team’s 44-34 loss to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday.

But despite their abysmal defense, the Seahawks are still 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS this season due to their league-leading offense. With 2,541 passing yards and 28 passing touchdowns through eight games, Russell Wilson is on pace for 5,082 passing yards and 54 passing touchdowns in 2020.

With starting running back Chris Carson and backup Carlos Hyde both listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, Wilson could have another day with a lot of pass attempts ahead of him.

Los Angeles News & Notes

Jared Goff had 61 pass attempts in Los Angeles’s 28-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins on November 1, completing only 57.4 percent of them for 355 passing yards, one passing touchdown and two interceptions.

A soft schedule to open the season helped the Rams jump out to a 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS start, but since then they are just 1-2 SU and ATS. Los Angeles is 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS against teams in the lowly NFC East and just 1-3 SU and ATS against everyone else it has faced.

The Rams have been rock-solid on defense, ranking second in the NFL in total yards allowed with 291.1 per game and second in scoring defense, allowing 19 points per game. But an underwhelming 24.1 points per game on offense has prevented the team from having success against stiffer competition. The UNDER is 5-0 in Los Angeles’s last five games.

Betting Pick: Seattle +2

This will be an interesting battle of styles as the Seahawks do best in shootouts and the Rams do best in defensive battles when they can control the tempo. Los Angeles’s defense might win the day, but considering the Rams are still a bit overrated due to their soft schedule, we’ll roll with Seattle as an underdog here.
