Seattle Hopes To Get Back On Track After Back-To-Back Losses

The Seahawks ended up on the wrong end of one of last Sunday’s most entertaining games, losing to the Las Vegas Raiders 40-34 in overtime. Geno Smith went 27-for-37 with 328 passing yards and two touchdowns while Kenneth Walker III rushed for two touchdowns in the loss. Seattle’s offense played well enough to win, but the defense had no answer for Josh Jacobs, who racked up 229 rushing yards, 74 receiving yards and two scores for the Raiders.

With the loss, Seattle fell to 0-2 SU and ATS over its last two games since going 4-0 SU and ATS over the previous four. The rushing defense has been a major issue of late, allowing 444 yards over the team’s last two losses. The defense may catch a break against this Rams offense that ranks 31st in the NFL in rushing with only 79.7 yards per game.

Los Angeles Offense Looks Lost Due To Injuries

The Rams already had one of the weakest offenses in the league with Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford and Allen Robinson healthy. With Kupp (ankle) and Robinson (foot) both on injured reserve and Stafford in concussion protocol, the heavily depleted Rams had Bryce Perkins starting at quarterback and Van Jefferson as their No. 1 receiver on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Los Angeles was easily defeated 26-10.

Stafford is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Seahawks, leaving the Rams with John Wolford and Perkins as their options under center. Los Angeles is now 1-7 SU and 1-6-1 ATS over its last eight games, including a current stretch of 0-5 SU and 0-4-1 ATS. Los Angeles may try to use injuries as an excuse for this lost season, but things were already going wrong before the injuries started piling up.

Seahawks: Keys to Win

Seattle’s offense ranks fourth in the NFL, averaging 26.5 points per game. Offensive production anywhere close to that average output against this injury-riddled Rams squad should be more than enough to get the job done as a Seahawks vs Rams prediction on Sunday.

Rams: Keys to Win

The Rams have been playing better on defense than some of the final scores would suggest. It’s tough to imagine the offense producing much more than a couple of touchdowns, so it will be up to the defense to have a big game at home to cover the spread or to pull off an upset as a Seahawks vs Rams pick at home.
