Seahawks Stadium Noise Betting Odds

Rarely do fans get a chance to influence a point spread.

Rarer yet is when sportsbooks actually post odds on what the fans will do in a game.

But that’s what is happening in the NFC Championship Game where the Seattle Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers. Online sportsbook Bovada (#1 rated at TopSportsbooks) posted a prop on the decibel level of the cheering at CenturyLink Field, where fans have set numerous records for noise this year.

The over-under, usually reserved for points scored and rushing yard props, is set at 135.5 for decibels of noise coming from fans. The book also posted 2 as the over-under on false start penalties the San Francisco offense will commit because of that racket.

The last time these teams met, a 131.9 decibel reading was taken which was proclaimed as a Guinness World Record for stadium noise. Seattle hammered the 49ers 29-3.

The point spread continues to hover around three points at Bovada although many believe that number will climb because of this 12th Man advantage enjoyed by the Seahawks.

The total was sitting near 39 points, far lower than the whopping total in the AFC Championship Game between the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots.

There were other unique over-unders posted on the Super Bowl odds menu. Will it snow in New Jersey? Will the temperature be above or below the freezing mark of 32 degrees?

Those are two questions that Super Bowls in Miami or domed stadiums never need to be answered. But Bovada is asking them this time.
