Super Bowl 50 features a pair of contrasting quarterbacks as Cam Newton and Peyton Manning try to lead their teams to the promise land. Newton is the new breed of quarterback; built like a running back, runs like a wide receiver and has a cannon for an arm. Manning is one of the all-time greatest quarterbacks who has excelled by dissecting defenses with his mind more than any other tool.

Newton is close to becoming the next best quarterback in the NFL and Manning is looking to go out on top.

With so many different storylines surrounding the quarterback clash in Super Bowl 50, let's look at the multitude of prop bets pertaining to the signal callers.

Total Passing Yards

Newton has his total for passing yards set at 237.5 at Sportsbook. The Auburn alum has averaged 240.8 passing yards per game through the regular season and the playoffs, but has topped the 240-yard mark in five of his past seven games. Newton will be facing the top ranked passing defense in the NFL as the Broncos have held teams to 200 yards through the air, but they have given up a combined 603 passing yards in two playoff games.

Manning has his total set at 235.5, a plateau he has surpassed just five times this season. Peyton has not thrown more than 222 yards in one game since November 8. The Panthers passing D has been solid, ranking in the top half of the NFL in that category.
