Super Bowl Cross-Sport Prop Bets

Super Bowl 58 Cross-Sport Prop Bets: Isiah Pacheco vs Scottie Scheffler?

If you enjoy placing bets on multiple sports like I do, why not spread the love during Super Bowl Sunday by placing a few cross-sport prop bets.

This type of betting is typically mixing OVER/UNDERs and different props from the NHL, NBA, other sports and the Super Bowl itself. Below, I'll break down this year's cross-sport Super Bowl prop markets and what exactly these weird bets are.

What Is A Cross-Sport Prop For Super Bowl 58?

Since the Super Bowl is arguably the biggest competitive sporting event in North America, sportsbooks naturally like to pair up this betting event with other sporting events/results. The odds listed are similar to any other kind of Super Bowl prop bet; the only difference is you’ll have to pay attention to more than one event to wager on the result of a cross-sport prop. So, lock in a game pick and some halftime props, then come back for these fun markets:

The Super Bowl 58 cross-sport props will get posted closer to this year's big game. For now, here are last year's props to give you an example of what we're working with.

Super Bowl Cross-Sport Best Bets:

Super Bowl 58 Cross-Sport Prop: What will be higher?
OptionOdds
Jersey Number Of First TD Scorer-130
Winning Score at Par 3 Contest Augusta National+100

Folks I'm deep in the weeds, but I think taking the jersey number is actually a great bet for this market

Let's start with the Masters Par-3 Contest, which will set our score to beat. The last 3 winning scores at the nine-hole competition have been 21, 23, and 22. When you look at the jersey numbers of the 10 players most likely to score the first touchdown in Super Bowl 58, taking the jersey number to be higher is the clear pick. Maybe I'm over-thinking it, but I'll take the six chances to win (and the toss-up in McCaffrey) over the two tight ends:

  • Isiah Pacheco #10
  • Rashee Rice #4
  • Deebo Samuel #19
  • Brandon Aiyuk #11
  • Patrick Mahomes #15
  • Brock Purdy #13

  • Christian McCaffrey #23

  • Travis Kelce #87
  • George Kittle #85

The Pick: Jersey Number First Super Bowl TD Scorer (-130)

Super Bowl 58 Cross-Sport Prop: What will be higher?
OptionOdds
Isiah Pacheco Carries Super Bowl 58-115
Scottie Scheffler Birdies WM Open-115

At last year's Waste Management Open, just one player inside the top 20 finished with over 20 birdies. Scheffler, who won the tournament, finished with 19.

In the last five games Pacheco has played in, the Chiefs RB1 has recorded 18+ carries four times and averaged 21 carries per game so far in the playoffs.

The 49ers haven't been great at stopping the rush in the playoffs this year, allowing nearly 150 rushing yards per game. So, I'd expect the Chiefs to lean heavy on Pacheco once again and get him above 20 carries. Once he breaks that 20 carry mark, this bet is all but won.

The Pick: Pacheco Carries (-115)

How To Read Super Bowl Cross-Sport Props

Once you visit an online sportsbook, the Super Bowl cross-sport props will be laid out like this:

Super Bowl 58 Cross-Sport Prop: What will be higher?
OptionOdds
Seconds To Sing National Anthem-115
Total Regular-Season Points for Toronto Maple Leafs-115

In this example, both options have the same payout. These are listed as American odds and each has a minus sign (-) in front of it. This indicates how much a bettor would have to wager to make $100 in profit. If there was a plus sign in front of the odds (+), that’s how much you’d win if you bet $100.

So, if you think the number of seconds it takes for the singing of the national anthem will be more than the total regular-season points for the Toronto Maple Leafs, you would take the anthem option for the prop. If it’s a successful bet, and you bet $115 on it, you’d get $215 in return. Your original $115 bet is returned along with $100 in profit.

If these odds aren’t making sense or you’re having difficulty getting a result, try our sports betting odds calculator to help add up the odds and potential payouts.
