Super Bowl 59 Next Gen Stats Prop Picks: Xavier Worthy Set To Shine

NFL Next Gen Stats have been a longstanding measuring stick for action on the gridiron. Next Gen Stats tracks everything from player speed, to longest total distance run, to most yards after catch and everything in between.

FanDuel Sportsbook has released an interesting line of Super Bowl 59 Next Gen Stats props in the leadup to the big game.

Here's a rundown on the latest Super Bowl 59 Next Gen Stat odds board and how you can profit. With the Next Gen Stats market certain to be volatile throughout the Super Bowl, I recommend lowering your unit size, and making either half-unit, or quarter-unit wagers in this market.

Results: Jalen Hurts OVER 18.5 MPH hit on the Eagles first drive of Super Bowl 59.

Two lines catch my eye in the player fastest ball carry speed odds, Saquon Barkley and Xavier Worthy.

Barkley has been the best player in the NFL this season, rushing for over 2,000 yards on a spectacular 5.8 yards per carry. The former Penn State star has shown unbelievable acceleration and the ability to fly past defenders at warp speed. Saquon put up four of the top-15 fastest ball carrier speeds this season, according to Next Gen Stats.

Most importantly, he reached a top speed of 21.72 MPH in a 19-yard rushing touchdown against the Jaguars earlier this season, and exceeded 20 MPH on a 22-yard rush in the NFC Championship Game. Philadelphia's top-tier offensive line will spring Saquon at least once in Super Bowl 59. Bet on his OVER 19.5 MPH at -112 odds

Chiefs' rookie Xavier Worthy is another spectacular fastest ball carrier speed bet. The 40-yard dash record holder, Worthy exceeded 21 MPH earlier this season, and flew to 19.45 MPH on a 23-yard reception in the AFC Championship. Expect to see Andy Reid scheme Worthy at least a few touches in space on Super Bowl Sunday. Bet the OVER 18.5 MPH.

Now this is where the Super Bowl Next Gen Stats props get interesting. Worthy ran a 4.21 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, but his fastest speed recorded this season was 19th in the NFL this season at 21.46 MPH. Saquon is rightfully the favorite in this market after posting two of the top-five fastest times in the NFL while reaching a high of 21.93 MPH.

That being said, A.J. Brown was the fastest ball carrier at Super Bowl 57, recording a top speed of 19.7 MPH. I like the value on Brown and running mate DeVonta Smith, who finished second at Super Bowl 57 with a fastest time of 19.51. With the Chiefs' defense focused on shutting down Barkley, each of the Eagles' receivers should see single coverage at some point in the big game. Back Brown and Smith to be the fastest ball carrier at Super Bowl 59.

Xavier Worthy finds his name at the top of the odds board. Ball carriers generally run the longest distances when the reverse field - on plays like an end around. However, with the frequency with which the Chiefs' have run end arounds with Worthy this season, the Eagles will be all over that play call. Worthy could also find room on a screen.

But, I think the value falls with another Chiefs' receiver in this market. Marquise Brown has yet to fully be unleashed in Kansas City, but he's run to second most routes of Chiefs' wide receivers in the playoffs. With the Eagles focused on containing Travis Kelce and the spectacular speed of Worthy, I like the value on Brown in the longest total distance prop market. The former Raven and Cardinal has averaged 11.6 yards per reception in his career, and is always a threat to get loose deep.

What can Brown do for you should be the theme of the Super Bowl 59 Next Gen Stats bets. Since we like Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown to run the longest distance, I think he's also a great play in the longest air yards market at +710. Brown has seen a wild 18.3 average depth of target in the playoffs, and nearly 43% of his targets have been 20-yards or longer.

Although, Chiefs backup wide receiver Justin Watson ranked 10th in average depth of target (15.2) this year. The fifth-year wideout always seems to pop up in the right moments. Watson hauled in three receptions for 54 yards in Super Bowl 58, and is an interesting value bet to have the longest air yards in Super Bowl 59.

Dallas Goedert has been a yards after catch monster this postseason, averaging 8.5 YAC. He's averaged 9.5 yards per target this year, and should find plenty of room to rumble against a Chiefs defense with far bigger concerns in Super Bowl 59. Goedert scored a spectacular 24-yard touchdown that was almost all yards after the catch against the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round.

Having said that, Worthy is always a threat to take a bubble screen or jet-pass for a touchdown with his eye-popping speed. Worthy finished 33rd in the NFL in yards after catch with 407 this season, and is an intriguing wager in the Super Bowl 59 most yards after catch market. If you're looking for a value play, I love Kareem Hunt at +1600. Hunt averaged 9.4 YAC per reception this season. With Andy Reid's elite screen game sure to be a huge part of the gameplan, I think Hunt gets a least a couple targets in the passing game.
