Saquon Barkley has undoubtedly been the Philadelphia Eagles MVP, and maybe should have been NFL MVP this season as well. On the back of 2,000 rushing yards, the former Penn State star has continued his dominance with 442 yards and five touchdowns already this postseason.
I've perused the odds board and found three Saquon Barkley Super Bowl 59 props to help you profit on Super Bowl Sunday:
Saquon Barkley Super Bowl 59 First Touchdown Scorer
Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles, February 9th, 6:30 pm ET
Prop | Odds |
Saquon Barkley First TD | +400 |
Using BetMGM's handy second-chance touchdown scorer promo, bettors can capitalize on Saquon to score first in Super Bowl 59. Even if the Chiefs get the ball first and score, and Barkley finds the endzone as the second touchdown scorer, you'll get your wager back at BetMGM.

Saquon spun his way to the first touchdown in the NFC Championship game, and thus is the favorite in both this market and is a wild -200 anytime touchdown scorer. With his legendary performances throughout the year, the former Penn State star will be a popular pick to win Super Bowl MVP at +240. However, I like the value on Barkley to find the endzone first much better.
After all, Saquon's scored 12 touchdowns in the Eagles' last 9 games.
Saquon Barkley UNDER 13.5 Receiving Yards
Prop | Odds |
---|---|
OVER 13.5 Receiving Yards | -133 |
UNDER 13.5 Receiving Yards | +100 |
Odds as of February 9 at Sportsbook
While Saquon has made a monumental impact on the Eagles offense, he's unlikely to be targeted in the passing game in Super Bowl 59.
Kansas City's defense did an outstanding job coverage opposing running backs this season, limited the position to an NFL-low 22.1 yards per game.
Barkley has surpassed this number only once in his last eight games. Plus, Kenneth Gainwell has been the Eagles receiving back throughout the year. With Kansas City's defensive gameplan centered on shutting down Saquon, I like the idea of fading his receiving yards in Super Bowl 59.
Saquon Barkley UNDER 23.5 Longest Rush
Prop | Odds |
OVER 23.5 Longest Rush | -139 |
UNDER 23.5 Longest Rush | +105 |
Odds as of February 9 at Sportsbook
Kansas City finished the season with its best run defense in years, ranking ninth in rushing DVOA. Steve Spagnuolo's group has contained opposing backs all year, sitting second in the NFL in second-level yards per carry and second in lowest open-field yards per carry.
Remember last year, when the Chiefs much-maligned rushing defense was supposedly set to be gashed by the great Christian McCaffrey? I fear many bettors will forget the lessons learned and simply play all of Saquon's OVERs. That would be a gigantic mistake.
While I expect Saquon to make his mark on Super Bowl 59, the real value lies in fading his 23.5 longest rush prop.
