San Francisco 49er fans don’t need to worry about the Super Bowl XLVII point spread when they place their bets Sunday.

Our handicapping team sees the latest Super Bowl as a super blowout with the 49ers streaking to a huge lead and cruising to an easy win.

Why so much confidence when Vegas and offshore have kept the line at a competitive 3.5 points for most of the past two weeks.

“Mainly, we don’t buy the Ravens team-of-destiny baloney and we don’t think their allegedly vaunted defense will lay a finger on Colin Kaepernick all day,” said Jack Randall, the lead NFL handicapping voice here at OddsShark.com.

What about those three straight playoff wins? What about shutting down Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in back-to-back road upsets?

“They didn’t exactly shut down the Broncos, who scored 35 points and the Patriots moved the ball but Brady had a rare case of the choking disorder,” said Randall. “And while both are Hall of Famers, they don’t have as many rushing yards combined in the past five seasons as Kaepernick got in one playoff game against Green Bay.”

So that is the difference – a physical, fast, mobile quarterback, who also boasts a slew of talented wideouts and arguably the most athletic tight end in football in Vernon Davis. And the aging Ravens defense – itself with future Hall of Famers – won’t be able to keep up.

San Francisco’s defense has also proven it can tackle major challenges and the Raven offense does not compare with Green Bay’s or Atlanta’s – the last two teams beaten by the 49ers in these playoffs.

The OddsShark.com computer has predicted a 30-25 win. Another prognosticator simulator called PredictionMachine predicts a 28-21 result. What does Randall think?

“I’m seeing 45-21, which would be great news for OVER bettors as well. Let’s say 31-7 at halftime.”

For trends, the 49ers are 8-1-1 SU in their past 10 games as a favorite and the NFC is 5-0 ATS in the past five Super Bowls. True, underdogs are 8-3 ATS in the past 11 games, but that will be 8-4 ATS after Sunday.
