Bills Look to Remain Unbeaten at Home in Rare Visit from Buccaneers

mccoy_bills

The Buffalo Bills will try to stay perfect at home this season as they return from a bye to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an NFL Week 7 matchup at New Era Field. The Bills have won and covered in two home dates this season, while the Buccaneers extended their current SU road losing streak to four with last week’s 38-33 loss at Arizona as 2.5-point favorites.

Shark Bites
  • The Bills are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five games at home after consecutive road games.
  • The Buccaneers are 1-8 SU in their last nine games after losing as a favorite.
  • The total has gone OVER in five of the Buccaneers’ last six games after a loss.

The 3-2 Bills return to action still in contention in the AFC East standings, just a half-game back of first-place New England. Buffalo has built its early success on stingy defense, surrendering an NFL-best 14.8 ppg, but allowed a season-high 20 points in a 20-16 loss at Baltimore as a 3-point underdog two weeks ago. The Bills are also unbeaten SU and ATS in their past two contests immediately following a bye.

The 2-3 Buccaneers are coming off consecutive SU and ATS losses that have dumped them into last place in the NFC South. Tampa Bay continues to be a disappointment at the sportsbooks, covering just once in its past seven outings, and is winless SU in four straight road dates, but has seen the point total go OVER in its past three on the road.

Sunday marks just the second all-time visit to Western New York by the Buccaneers. The Bills posted a 33-20 win as 4-point home chalk in Tampa’s first visit in 2009, but the Buccaneers have otherwise dominated, going 7-3 SU all-time against the Bills, and 6-1 ATS over the past seven.

OddsShark analytical formulas picked a 30-16 win for the Bills on Sunday. View the computer score prediction and who will win the pick on the moneyline for all upcoming NFL matchups here.
