Titans’ Offensive Issues Finally Catch Up With Them In Loss To Cincinnati

The Titans are coming off just their second loss in their last nine games, a 20-16 defeat to Cincinnati that snapped Tennessee’s 8-0 ATS run. Derrick Henry managed just 38 rushing yards — the third straight game in which he’s been held under the century mark — as the Titans failed to score more than two touchdowns for the fifth time in their last six contests.

Tennessee saw another streak come to an end against the Bengals, allowing 100 yards rushing for the first time in its last nine games. However, the Titans still managed to hold an opponent under 20 points for the eighth straight time, the franchise’s longest streak since 1993.

That stingy defense and struggling offense has made Tennessee the best UNDER bet in the league. The Titans have stayed below the total in seven of their last eight outings, with six of those contests featuring 38 points or less.

Eagles Run Over Packers To Win Another High-Scoring Game At Home

Quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Miles Sanders ran wild in last week’s 40-33 win over the Packers, combining to record 300 of Philly’s 363 rushing yards — the second-most in franchise history. Hurts set a team record for rushing yards by a quarterback, running for 157, and became the first player in more than 70 years to run for at least 150 yards, throw for at least 150 yards and have two TD passes in a game.

The Eagles have now gone OVER the total in nine of their last 11 games at Lincoln Financial Field, where they have covered the spread in five of six games this season. Philly’s five victories at home have all come by seven points or more.

Titans: Keys To Victory

Tennessee has one of the few defenses in the NFL that can stop Philadelphia’s lethal ground attack, ranking third in the league in rushing yards allowed per game and fourth in yards per carry. After settling for field goals on their three red-zone trips last week against Cincinnati, the Titans need to do a better job finishing drives with touchdowns.

Eagles: Keys To Victory

Philadelphia’s second-ranked pass defense won’t have any trouble stopping Tennessee’s anemic air attack, which should allow the Eagles to stack the box and focus on slowing down Henry. Offensively, star receiver AJ Brown will be motivated to have a big performance against a Titans team that dealt him to Philly last summer after refusing to give him a big contract.
