Thanksgiving Football Prop Bets: Cash In On Montgomery

With millions of Americans once again gathering around the dinner table for Thanksgiving, the NFL is set to steal the show in the sports world with a trio of games on tap for turkey day.

Here are three Thanksgiving Day game prop bets we think will cash, and you can find all of Thursday’s posted props below. Happy Thanksgiving!

NFL Prop #1 - David Montgomery Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-140)

NFL Prop #2 - Jake Ferguson Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+180)

NFL Prop #3 - Geno Smith UNDER 236.5 Passing Yards (-114)

Thanksgiving Football Prop Bet #1: David Montgomery Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-140)

Game: Packers vs Lions, 12:30 p.m. ET

The Lions lead back went off for 121 yards and 3 scores against the Packers way back in Week 4. Detroit will likely have a similar gameplan, as Green Bay have allowed an eye-popping 141 rushing yards per game over their past 3.

Green Bay has allowed 9 rushing touchdowns and 4.3 yards per carry on the year. The Packers injury list is mounting, and both linebacker De'Vondre Campbell and top corner Jaire Alexander will likely miss this Thanksgiving Day NFC North showdown.

Ben Campbell's offense should have no trouble moving the football against Green Bay's undermanned offense. Bet on David Montgomery to score at -145. Those who are feeling frisky as they wait for turkey can even risk Montgomery to score twice at +400.

Thanksgiving Football Prop Bet #2: Jake Ferguson Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+180)

Game: Commanders vs Cowboys, 4:30 p.m. ET

Dak Prescott has thrown 48 of his 185 career touchdown passes to tight ends. Clearly, Dak relies on his big targets in the red zone. Jake Ferguson is +180 to score a touchdown despite being tied with Davante Adams for the league-lead in red zone targets with 17.

The Wisconsin product has scored in three of his past four contests, and is a great bet on make that four of five on Thanksgiving. Washington has already allowed 5 touchdowns to tight ends on the season, as well as an average of 5 receptions per game to the position. Moreover, he's been far more involved in the gameplan lately with 22 targets in his last three games. Bet Ferguson to score a touchdown on Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Football Prop Bet #3: Geno Smith UNDER 236.5 Passing Yards (-114)

Game: 49ers vs Seahawks, 8:20 p.m. ET

This is a great spot to target Geno's unders. Smith was the redemption tale of the 2022 season, putting up some of the most efficient stats on the year with 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns and a league-best 69.8 completion percentage. The former New York Jets pivot was also the NFL's most incredible deep passer, carving up defenses with 13 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions on passes that sailed over 20 yards.

However, 2023 has been a different story. Geno's lost of some his luster and fallen back toward league average efficiency. He sits at 16th in total QBR (52.5), 21st in expected points added +24.3, and 20th in true passer rating (86.4).

Led by a dominant defensive front the San Francisco 49ers have held opposing passers to 221.1 yards passing and 5.7 yards per pass this season. Moreover, the 49ers rank 6th in pass-rush win rate and are tied for 2nd with 19 takeaways on the year.

The health of Geno's elbow is also a significant factor as the Seahawks passer was banged up last week after getting hit by Aaron Donald.
