Why Is Josh Allen (+190) Favored In Week 4?

Sportsbooks are expecting a big year from the Bills’ fifth-year quarterback, who’s currently the odds-on favorite for NFL MVP. Allen was very impressive in Week 1 vs the Rams, slinging for 297 yards and three touchdowns, and upped his game for Week 2 vs the Titans, throwing for 317 yards and four TDs.

In Week 3, Allen didn't look as impeccable as weeks past, but still racked up 26.7 fantasy points. He'll likely be the QB chalk for top fantasy odds all year. A high-wire Week 4 showdown vs Baltimore ups his favorite status to +190.

Top Fantasy QB: Week 4 Best Bet

Jalen Hurts (+325)

Fresh off what was arguably the most complete game of his career vs the Vikings in Week 2, Hurts followed up with 27.60 points versus the Commanders in Week 3. That performance put him second among QBs behind only Lamar Jackson's astounding 40.42-point showing.

A Week 4 game vs the Jaguars sets Hurts up against the 21st pass defense in football. With Jacksonville finding its own footing on offense, this matchup could quickly turn into a high-powered shootout, which will have fantasy owners seeing dollar signs.

Why Is Saquon Barkley (+300) Favored in Week 4?

Move over Jonathan Taylor, there's a new fantasy king in town.

Saquon Barkley has looked extraordinary this season out of the Giants backfield. The 25-year-old is averaging 105.7 yards per game, a career-high, and has snagged 13 catches through three games. Finally, Barkley seems to be past the injury troubles that have bogged him down the last two seasons.

A Week 4 matchup with the Bears isn't ideal, but with the roll Saquon's been on, it's hard not to see him as the chalk.

Top PPR Fantasy RB: Week 4 Best Bet

Austin Ekeler (+450)

So what's been up with Ekeler this season? The Chargers don't seem to love using him in the run game and his receptions, while plentiful, aren't turning into anything productive. He appears to have hit a wall here in his sixth NFL season.

We anticipate Ekeler finds the antidote to his fantasy malady. The Houston Texans defense has allowed an average of 202 rushing yards per game this season, the worst mark in the NFL this year. That should help open up some space for Ekeler as a runner and as a play-action receiver.

Top Fantasy Football Players: Wide Receivers

Top Fantasy WR Odds: week 4 (PPR)
Player 2022 Fantasy Points Odds
Cooper Kupp (LAR) 80.00 +250
Stefon Diggs (BUF) 85.40 +275
Justin Jefferson (MIN) 54.60 +400
Deebo Samuel (SF) 40.20 +500
AJ Brown (PHI) 56.90 +800
Davante Adams (LV) 53.50 +850
CeeDee Lamb (DAL) 42.70 +850

Odds as of September 29 at Bodog

Why Is Cooper Kupp (+250) Favored For Week 4?

Get used to Kupp in chalk status. The Rams wideout is a stud, and he’s already gobbled up 28 catches through three weeks. That said, a Week 4 matchup vs a stingy 49ers defense isn't ideal for fantasy.

It’s understandable why Kupp is favored, but we see better value elsewhere this week.

Top PPR Fantasy WR: Week 4 Best Bet

AJ Brown (+800)

We like AJ Brown this week. Brown and QB Jalen Hurts have established a tight connection, especially on deep balls, and this week's matchup vs Jacksonville could easily turn into a shootout. The Eagles wideout should snag some of the targets that went to DeVonta Smith last week, so grab Brown at +800.

Top Fantasy Football Players: Tight Ends

Top Fantasy TE Odds: Week 4 (PPR)
Player 2022 Fantasy Points Odds
Travis Kelce (KC) 64.80 +200
Mark Andrews (BAL) 54.10 +220
Kyle Pitts (ATL) 21.50 +500
George Kittle (SF) 6.80 +600
Tyler Higbee (LAR) 33.10 +950
Darren Waller (LV) 34.10 +950
Pat Freiermuth (PIT) 30.80 +1200
Zach Ertz (ARI) 37.40 +1200

Odds as of September 22 at Bodog

Why Is Travis Kelce (+200) Favored In Week 4?

The Chiefs tight end will set up on the line, in the slot or even out wide as defenses scramble to cover him. Kansas City knows just how to use its star player, and it’s resulted in Kelce finishing as the No. 1 fantasy tight end every year from 2015 to 2020.

The 32-year-old is the pinnacle of consistency and is well on his way to becoming one of the best tight ends in NFL history. Regardless of his week-to-week performance, he’ll pretty much always be the favorite, barring an injury.

Top PPR Fantasy TE: Week 4 Best Bet

Mark Andrews (+220)

Among fantasy football tight ends, there are two tiers: Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews in Tier 1, and then the rest of the league. 2022 has been better than expected on Andrews' end. After an epic Week 3, the Ravens TE now leads Kelce by over 10 fantasy points.

In fact, we’re counting on Andrews to outperform Kelce again this week. At +220 odds, it’s easily worth the risk.

The Ravens have Buffalo this week, whereas the Chiefs face a stout Buccaneers defensive unit. On top of that, Lamar Jackson's been the top-performing fantasy quarterback this season. In a slugfest vs the Bills, watch for Andrew to leech those sweet, sweet PPR points of his QB.

What is the difference between PPR and non-PPR scoring?

In PPR leagues, there’s more scoring. Instead of just yards and touchdowns impacting the score, running backs, receivers and tight ends are awarded an extra point for every reception. This caveat places extra importance on pass-catching running backs or high-volume receivers who rack up catches.

Who was the best fantasy football player in 2021?

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen led all players with 417.7 fantasy points in 2021.

How do I bet on fantasy football?

Betting on fantasy football is sort of like prop-betting on a particular player to have a good game. The more yards, touchdowns and catches a player gets, the more fantasy points he accumulates. In this article, we break down the players at each position who will score the most fantasy points in a given week.
