Vikings face Packers in Week 12 odds

Minnesota VikingsGreen Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are finding life without Aaron Rodgers very tough to handle, losing their last three games with their starting QB sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Green Bay will try to snap that three-game losing streak and stay alive in the NFC playoff picture when it plays host to the Minnesota Vikings for an NFC North grudge match Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field (1 pm ET, Fox).

The Packers just lost to the Giants out in Jersey 27-13, falling to 0-3 ATS without Rodgers. At 5-5 Green Bay is now a game back of first-place Detroit in the NFC North, and a game (and a tie-breaker) behind both Chicago and San Francisco in the battle for the second NFC wild-card spot.

Scott Tolzein, who has looked good at times in relief of Rodgers, is expected to make his second career NFL start Sunday.

Minnesota, meanwhile, is playing out the string on this season, after making the playoffs last year.

Green Bay has won seven of the last eight meetings in this series, although Rodgers started each of those games. The Packers are 6-1 ATS past seven at home to Vikings and 12-2 ATS in their past 14 divisional games. Again, all that data relates to Rodgers at QB.

In the early betting the Packers were favored by 3.5 points at Sportsbook over the Vikes.

They battle the Vikings, currently with a 2-8 mark (4-6 ATS). The over under records, important for totals bettors, are 4-6 for the Packers and 8-2 for the Vikings.
