The Washington Football Team (5-6 SU, 4-7 ATS) is 3-0 SU and ATS over its last three games despite being an underdog in all three of those games. Washington will try to pick up another upset victory Sunday in Las Vegas against the Raiders (6-5, 5-6).

Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The Raiders opened as 1.5-point home favorites and have since been bet up slightly to Las Vegas -2.5. The total has settled in at 49.5 points after Sportsbook earlier in the week at 48 points. Washington is 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five games against the Raiders.

Washington News & Notes

Washington entered its bye week on the first weekend of November in the midst of an 0-4 SU and ATS skid. The team emerged from the bye with a stunning 29-19 upset over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as 10-point underdogs and has followed up with upset wins over the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks.

The defense held Seattle to only 267 total yards in the 17-15 win and has now allowed only 277.5 total yards and 18 points per game over its last four games.

Antonio Gibson had a career-high 29 rushing attempts against Seattle and a season-high 111 rushing yards in the win. Taylor Heinicke hasn’t been asked to do much over Washington’s current three-game win streak, but he has completed 77.5 percent of his passes with five touchdowns and only one interception over that stretch.

Las Vegas News & Notes

Derek Carr completed 24 of 39 pass attempts for 373 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions in Las Vegas’s 36-33 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.

There has been a clear correlation to Carr throwing for 300 yards and the Raiders having success this season. Las Vegas is 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS in games in which Carr has recorded 300 or more passing yards and 0-5 SU and ATS in games when he hasn’t.

Fortunately for the Raiders, Carr will be facing a Washington defense that ranks 30th in the NFL in pass defense, allowing 266.6 yards per game through the air. After snapping out of their 0-3 SU and ATS losing streak with last Thursday’s win, Las Vegas is right back in the mix for a wild-card spot.

How Washington Will Cover

The Raiders rank 25th in the NFL in rushing defense, allowing 125.9 rushing yards per game. If Washington can keep Carr off the field and wear Las Vegas’s defense down with Antonio Gibson, the team could pick up another upset win.

How Las Vegas Will Cover

This Washington team is not built to produce a ton of points on offense. Taking an early lead and forcing Washington to leave its comfort zone and abandon the running game would be one of the smoothest paths to a win and cover for the Raiders.
