Week 1 Betting Analysis
First of all, if you are new to sports betting and are unsure of how to lay a wager on the NFL, don’t worry, we have a great betting tutorial to help you feel comfortable in making your first NFL bet!
In the meantime, here are some of the best games we’re looking forward to in Week 1.
Bills vs Rams
The champs will start the defense of their title against the Buffalo Bills, one of the top teams in the league last season, who fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Both of these teams have Super Bowl aspirations and return with much of their respective cores intact.
Matthew Stafford is back for his second season with the Rams and while he loses Odell Beckham Jr. and Robert Woods from his receiving corps, the Rams added veteran wideout Allen Robinson to pair with Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp.
Buffalo’s big addition of the offseason was former Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, who adds another pass rusher to an already formidable defense.

Buccaneers vs Cowboys
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers kick off their pursuit of another title with a trip to Jerry World to face the new-look Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
The Bucs are running it back with a much different roster than the one that won them a Super Bowl title in 2021, but with many of the key players still intact.
Pro Bowl guard Ali Marpet is gone, as is Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Brown, Jason Pierre-Paul and Ndamukong Suh. In their place the Bucs used some high draft picks and gave contracts to former Falcons Julio Jones and Russell Gage while making a trade for former Patriots guard Shaq Mason.
On the other side, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott no longer has Amari Cooper or Cedrick Wilson at his disposal. Prescott will instead line up with CeeDee Lamb and Dalton Schultz as his top weapons with Michael Gallup injured.
This game will be a rematch of the Sportsbook night kickoff game of last season when the Bucs squeaked out a 31-29 victory with a last-second field goal. This time around, the Bucs are -2.5 favorites.
Raiders vs Chargers
This game features the first matchup in one of the most hyped NFL divisions in recent memory.
The Raiders finished 10-7 last season and made the playoffs. They then added maybe the best receiver in the league in Davante Adams in the offseason.
Meanwhile, the Chargers are everyone’s pick to make noise in a stacked AFC as they might have the best all-around roster in the league on paper.
The additions of Khalil Mack and J.C. Jackson on defense were huge upgrades to an already solid unit. They also return Justin Herbert at the helm with a good group of weapons and upgraded offensive line.
This game is the marquee matchup in the late window. The Chargers are -3.5 favorites at home.
