Wild Card Sunday: Betting Preview

Wild Card Weekend NFL betting wraps up Sunday as the New York Giants host the Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos host the Pittsburgh Steelers. Here’s a look at some of the props available to bet on at Sportsbook for each of these games as well as NFL line movement updates on the spread and total.

No. 5 Atlanta Falcons at No. 4 New York Giants

No line movement has occurred in this NFC Wild Card matchup as the New York Giants opened as and are still a 3-point favorite at Sportsbook. Bettors do seem to prefer the UNDER as the total has moved from 48.5 down to 47.5. Both teams enter the game 3-1 both SU and ATS in their last four games.

For Atlanta, many expect the key to the game to be running the football; bettors at Sportsbook can bet on whether or not Michael Turner will go over or under 75.5 rushing yards (Over -125, Under -105). For New York, Eli Manning’s passing attack will be under the microscope; the total for Eli Manning passing yards is currently set at 295.5 (Over -125, Under -105). Many other individual player props are available.

No. 5 Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 4 Denver Broncos

Early in the week, the line on this game moved a full point as Pittsburgh opened as an 8-point favorite at Sportsbook and is now a 9-point favorite. News of Rashard Mendenhall’s torn ACL and Ben Roethlisberger’s ankle discomfort (which he will play through) has done nothing to move the line back towards Denver. The total is down to a very low 33.5 after Sportsbook at 35.5.

All eyes will be on the injured Roethlisberger and the polarizing Tim Tebow in this one. The total for Roethlisberger passing yards is currently set at 265.5 (Over -115, Under -115) while the total for Tebow passing yards is set at 150.5 (Over -125, Under -105). Bettors can also bet on how many touchdowns Tebow will pass for (Over 1 +110, Under 1 -140) and whether he will go over or under 45.5 rushing yards (Over -115, Under -115).
