NHL Finals Game 2 Betting Preview

The Boston Bruins need to rebound from an exhausting 3-OT loss in Game 1 if they hope to get back in the Stanley Cup finals and pay off for their bettors.

And history says that they have a very good chance of doing so. Since 2003, the Sportsbooks of the past nine games that have ended in triple overtime or later have failed to win their next game.

Only the 2009 Anaheim Ducks and 2006 Edmonton Oilers were able to follow up a 3-OT win with another win. The other seven Sportsbooks all lost next time out, which would favor the underdog Bruins if that trend repeats itself.

The Blackhawks won 4-3 on Andrew Shaw's goal and are favored for Saturday's Game 2 at United Center. Early betting had about 60% of the consensus action on the home team at -155.
