Wild Continue to Run Rampant Over Western Conference

With their 6-3 home win against the Red Wings on Sunday, the Wild became the second team to get to 80 points this season. They’ll take on Anaheim tonight in the third stanza of their seven-game homestand as the Ducks look to curb the trend that’s seen them lose five of their last seven and 19 of their 31 road games.

SHARK BITES
  • The Wild are 6-2 SU in their last 8 games at home against teams with winning records.
  • The total has gone OVER in 7 of the Wild's last 8 games.
  • The Ducks have posted just 18 OVERs in 57 games this season.

It’s time to believe in the Minnesota Wild. This roster just works together. They’ve become my favorite team to watch with the attractive brand of hockey they’re playing under Bruce Boudreau and from what I can see, they’re built to win in the playoffs. Not only have they been a good watch, they’ve been a good bet. The Wild lead the league in puckline earnings with well over $1500 in profit for $100 bettors and of late, they’ve turned into an OVER machine.

The Ducks, Boudreau’s old team, have been a bunch of quacks since the break. Their goalies are posting a combined save percentage of .899 in February and they’re giving up a bloated 3.20 goals per game.

This one feels like a guaranteed win for the Wild so it probably means they’ll lose. As pessimistic as that sounds, I’ll be backing them on the puckline tonight at a value of around +185.
