Crosby debut: Pens vs Islanders

The NHL's best player returns from nearly a year off as Sidney Crosby makes his NHL debut against the Islanders Monday.

Sidelined by concussion symptoms since last January, the former MVP has helped push the Pittsburgh vs Islanders moneyline up to -215 at some online sportsbooks such as Bovada. [ SEE SIDNEY CROSBY PROP ODDS WHICH HAVE HIM FAVORED TO SCORE IN HIS DEBUT AND AT 8/1 ODDS TO WIN THE HART TROPHY! ]

Elsewhere, the Montreal Canadiens will run into the red-hot Boston Bruins in NHL betting action on Monday night at the Bell Centre.

Boston will be a road favorite as they seek to extend their win streak to nine games. Seven of the last eight games involving the Bruins have made winners of OVER bettors in totals betting at 5Dimes.

The Canadiens have won both head-to-head contests this season, but that was before the Bruins got rolling. Boston is playing like champions again and betting against them will involve some luck, as they will draw plenty of interest on the NHL betting lines.

Dallas and Edmonton both jumped out to strong starts this season, but they are struggling heading into the Lone Star State where the two teams meet for the first time this year in NHL betting action on Monday night.

Dallas will be home favorites in this contest at 5Dimes and they have won five of the last six head-to-head, but the Oilers did win the last meeting between the teams. Three of the last four between Edmonton and Dallas have sent UNDER bettors to the payout window in totals betting.

Los Angeles and the St. Louis will go at it in NHL betting action on Tuesday night with both teams looking to rebound from losses.

St. Louis holds a solid lead head-to-head, but the Kings did shut out the Blues 5-0 in their only meeting thus far in the season. The Blues will be favorites at home at 5Dimes and should see the majority of action on the NHL betting lines.

The Chicago Blackhawks have stumbled over the past week as they head into San Jose to play the Sharks in what will be a heavily wagered on matchup on Wednesday night.

San Jose has won three of the last four head-to-head, and they should see the lion’s share of action on the NHL betting lines at 5Dimes as a likely home favorite in this one.
