Canada vs Finland 4 Nations Face-Off Odds & Picks: Win Or Go Home

It's win or go home for Canada and Finland at the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off. If either team wins in regulation, though, they'll secure a matchup against the Americans in the final on Thursday.

Bookmakers have Canada as the clear favorites in this one, slating them with -430 moneyline odds. Finland is a +330 underdog. I think there is some value in the puckline for this contest, though, with Canada -1.5 sitting at -154 at Sportsbook:

Canada vs Finland 4 Nations Face-Off Picks

Canada -1.5 (-154) at Sportsbook

Yes, Canada let Saturday’s rivalry game against the Americans slip away. But, do you really think they’re not going to find their way to a rematch in the finals?

This Canadian roster may not be perfect, but they have what it takes to beat Finland in regulation (and that’s what they’ll need to do to make the final). So, I’m taking the value on Canada -1.5, expecting an empty-net goal or just a romping.

Finland might be the only team in this tournament with worse goaltending than the Canadians, allowing nine goals in their first two games. Canada’s top talent in McDavid, Crosby, and MacKinnon should have a field day in this must-win.

Connor McDavid OVER 1.5 Points +150 at Sportsbook

Connor McDavid has ‘just’ two points in his pair of 4 Nations Face-Off games, so far. But, he’s clearly been the star of Canada’s game so far. He led all players with nearly 23 minutes of ice time against the Americans and led all forwards against Sweden. Sidney Crosby may be the captain, but McDavid is the best player on this roster.

In a must-win game, I expect coach Jon Cooper to lean on McDavid even harder against Finland. He showed up in a big way during elimination games last year for the Edmonton Oilers, scoring eight points in five elimination contests in the playoffs. I’d expect that same McDavid to make an appearance against this weak Finnish defense, resulting in at least a few points.

USA vs Canada 4 Nations Face-Off Betting Trends

  • Anton Lundell leads Finland with 7 shots at the 4 Nations tournament
  • In his last five elimination games (with the Oilers) Connor McDavid has three goals and eight points
  • Canada's Mitch Marner has five points in his last seven games (NHL and 4 Nations)
  • Before Saturday's loss to the US, Canada had won 27-straight international games with Sidney Crosby on the roster
