Coyotes, Flyers on NHL lines

The Phoenix Coyotes will try to run their winning streak to eight games when they go up against the Eastern-leading Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night. The Flyers are -175 home favorites on the NHL betting lines at Sportsbook.ag for the showdown.

Phoenix  (32-19-9) has been extremely good on the road with a 17-9-4 record, while the Flyers are split down the middle with half their wins and losses at home. Philly took three of four on a recent road trip and will most likely be the popular choice on the NHL betting lines.

The recent run for the Coyotes has not been an easy one either, with wins coming over Chicago, Nashville, Washington, and Dallas. They are also capable of staying in games with their last five wins coming by just one goal. Phoenix has also taken three of the last four head-to-head and they could be the best upset wager of the night as a +155 road underdog.

The two teams are getting reliable goaltending, albeit in different fashions, so expect a low-scoring game and plenty of UNDER bets on the posted OVER/UNDER total of 5.5. These teams have made winners of UNDER bettors in three of the last four matchups.

Los Angeles will try to continue its dominance of state-rival Anaheim on Wednesday when the Ducks play host to the Kings as likely home favorites at the Honda Center.

The Kings defeated the Ducks 4-1 in December with Anaheim winning 2-0 at home in their other head-to-head meeting this season. Los Angeles and Anaheim are tied with 68 points apiece and are fighting to get out of the basement of the Pacific Division.

Anaheim has gone 6-4-0 in its last 10, while the Kings have been a bit better at 6-1-3. Both teams are looking to snap losing skids. While Los Angeles has won seven of the previous 10 matchups between the two and the Kings will certainly have their share of backers on the NHL betting lines, they have had trouble on the road this season with a 15-14-3 record.

Anaheim is a very respectable 17-9-1 at home this season, and has won three of the last five head-to-head. This should garner them more attention on the NHL betting lines, but the Kings could be taken for good value as a road underdog.

History has paid the OVER bet more often when these teams hook up, but three of the past four games have sent UNDER bettors to the payout window.
