Edmonton has won two games in a row, the latest being a come-from-behind 4-3 overtime victory in a pick’em matchup against the Florida Panthers on Monday after trailing 3-2 late in the third period.

Evan Bouchard tied the game for Edmonton with five seconds remaining in regulation time before Leon Draisaitl put home the game-Sportsbook 22 seconds into OT. The Oilers had rallied back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the New York Rangers 4-3 two days earlier to wrap up a three-game road trip at 1-2.

On a positive note, the Oilers are seemingly never out of a game and have successfully responded to third-period deficits each time as they have won their last two games. They outscored the Rangers and Panthers 6-2 in the third, first seeing Draisaitl score the game-Sportsbook at Madison Square Garden with 2:02 left in regulation on a power-play goal before he beat Florida early in OT.

The negative part of that equation, though, is that Edmonton also continues to put itself in vulnerable situations where the team needs to rebound late in order to avoid a loss. The Oilers are 2-0 in OT this year after their latest victory.

Chicago’s Goaltending Duo Struggles as Season-High Skid Continues

It has not been pretty between the pipes for the Blackhawks lately, with goaltenders Petr Mrazek (1-5-1, 4.27 goals-against average) and Arvid Soderblom (2-4-2, 3.00) both struggling to keep the puck out of the net.

The last time Chicago allowed less than three goals in a game, the team ended up winning a 3-2 decision vs the Anaheim Ducks on November 12. That was a long time ago, and the Blackhawks have given up three goals or more in every game since then. In fact, they have surrendered five goals or more in five of the seven games during their skid. If they can hold their opponent to three or less in this spot, they should have a shot to win.
