NHL Betting: Pens vs. Bruins

The high-flying Pittsburgh Penguins will be trying to start another winning streak when they take on the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Saturday afternoon in NHL betting action.

Pittsburgh had its eight-game win streak snapped by Toronto on Wednesday as a -114 road favorite. Boston will be likely home favorites at 5Dimes in the second meeting between the teams this season.

Boston sits second in the Eastern Conference, but the Penguins are climbing up the standings and do feel comfortable against the Bruins. Pittsburgh has won three straight at Boston, but did fall 3-1 at home to the Bruins back in December.

Three straight head-to-head matchups between these teams have made winners of UNDER bettors in totals betting.

Later in the evening on Saturday it’s Northeast Division rivals Ottawa and Toronto meeting in the fifth edition of the Battle of Ontario this season. The Senators have won three straight against the Maple Leafs, including their only matchup at Scotiabank Place early in the season.

Ottawa has been feeling some pressure lately with four straight losses before the weekend. Meanwhile, Toronto has been consistent of late with three wins in four tries - with the only loss coming in a shootout.

Even with the Senators' dominance of the Maple Leafs this season they have lost two of the last three at home to Toronto. The NHL betting lines at 5Dimes will be buzzing with activity for this matchup; expect bettors to be evenly split.

It’s a light day on Sunday in NHL betting action with just four games on tap, but the tilt between the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers should draw plenty of interest on the NHL betting lines.

The Rangers have been extremely difficult to beat at Madison Square Garden this season, but the Flyers have been one the NHL’s best road teams. New York leads the Eastern Conference and looks like a team ready for a long postseason run.

New York has won five straight head-to-head against the Flyers, and they will likely see most of the attention from bettors on the NHL betting lines at 5Dimes. Three of the last four games between these teams have sent UNDER bettors to the payout window in totals betting.
