NHL Betting: Preds vs. Flyers

The Predators and the Flyers will meet on Thursday night in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center in marquee NHL betting action.

Nashville beat the Flyers 4-2 last month as a -117 home favorite; Philadelphia will be a likely home favorite, however, for this matchup on Thursday.

The Predators are the league’s hottest team with wins in 10 of their last 11 games. If Pekka Rinne starts in net for Nashville on Thursday he has a chance to get a season-high 11th straight victory, which would be a record for the NHL this year.

Philadelphia has lost its last three starts at home, while the Predators have won three straight on the road. While the Flyers could be home favorites, expect Nashville to generate a lot of interest on the NHL betting lines at Sportsbook.

Top teams in the Western Conference also battle in NHL betting action on Thursday as the Detroit Red Wings travel west to take on the Vancouver Canucks.

Detroit leads the Western Conference with 69 points, while the Canucks are right behind them with 66 and looking to close the gap. Vancouver doubled the Red Wings 4-2 as a -127 home favorite last time out, while Detroit shut out the Canucks 2-0 at home early in the season.

The Red Wings are just .500 on the road, while Vancouver has just six regulation losses at home at the Rogers Arena. Three of the last four head-to-head matchups have made winners of UNDER bettors in totals betting at Sportsbook.

Friday night brings plenty more NHL betting action, but the Los Angeles Kings vs. St. Louis Blues contest will draw most of the attention on the NHL betting lines with both teams contending for playoff spots in the West.

St. Louis has compiled a 21-3-4 record at home this year, but one of those defeats did come at the hands of the Kings. In fact, Los Angeles has won back-to-back games over the Blues this season.

Four of the last five head-to-head games between these teams have sent UNDER bettors to the payout window in totals betting at Sportsbook.
