The Bruins don't look like the team that won the Stanley Cup last season right now, and they'll take on a club going in the opposite direction on Saturday when they face off against the Maple Leafs in Toronto on the NHL betting lines.

The Bruins won the first meeting this season easily between the Original Six rivals by a 6-2 score, but that was in Boston. Toronto has won two of three at home head-to-head.

With the emergence of Phil Kessel as a star and a solid supporting cast the  Maple Leafs now get a ton of action on the NHL betting lines most nights.

Oddsmakers will label the Maple Leafs as favorites for the contest at 5Dimes, while the last four meetings between these teams have sent OVER bettors to the payout window.

In another interesting NHL betting matchup on Saturday it’s the Buffalo Sabres in Ottawa to play the Senators. Ottawa was supposed to be rebuilding, but so far they have managed to score over three goals per game.

The loss of Daniel Alfredsson is a blow to the offense, though, and with four straight losses to the Sabres it could be a tough night for the home-favored Senators.

Buffalo is a stingy team defensively, but Ottawa has had nine games go OVER the posted total already this season at 5Dimes.

The Chicago Blackhawks appear to be back in fine form to start this season and they host the improving Vancouver Canucks in one of several NHL betting matchups on Sunday.

After losing in dramatic fashion in Game 7 to the Canucks in the playoffs last season you can bet revenge will be on the minds of both the players and fans.

Chicago is scoring at over three goals per game even strength, while boasting one of the league’s best penalty-killing units. Vancouver still hasn’t shaken that uncertain label this season, and the Blackhawks will likely see the majority of action on the NHL betting lines for this contest.
