Game 4: stars vs oilers preview & pick
The Game: dallas stars vs edmonton oilers, 8:30 PM ET
Team | Puckline | Total | Moneyline |
---|---|---|---|
Dallas Stars | +1.5 (-230) | O6 (+102) | +114 |
Edmonton Oilers | -1.5 (+190) | U6 (-122) | -135 |
Josie's Take: Skinner will get the start in Game 4 and his .885SV% in these playoffs doesn't get me excited. Absolutely blowing last game's lead deflated all the momentum.
Jake Oettinger is laughing on the other side of the ice as the 25-year-old holds down the fort, recording a .940SV% this series and snagging back-to-back wins.
Edmonton is 4-3 SU at Rogers Arena. Yet, Dallas has won three consecutive matchups when tagged as road underdogs. Not to mention, the Stars also shine with a 6-1 SU performance when on the road this postseason.
Pick: Dallas ML (+114)
Michel's Take: I don't trust Stuart Skinner after his outing in Game 3. Specifically Jason Robertson's third against the post. Horrendous goal to give up.
Skinner's record against the total in the next game after allowing more than three goals is 5-4-1 with the average total being 6.5. And in those 10 games, he's allowed three or more goals six times!
Since March, when playing on home ice Edmonton has seen the total go OVER 11-6-2 (65%). In the playoffs, it's 5-1-1 (83%). So with Skinner's inability to truly bounce back after a horrid outing and the Oilers penchant for pushing the total OVER at home, I'm taking said OVER.
Pick: OVER 6 (+102)
