NHL Playoffs Players Props Today: Oilers vs Panthers Game 2
[nhl_bet_50_get_10:BET99-2374158]Evan Bouchard Player Props Today: O0.5 Points (-160)
We know the Oilers aren't going to be shut out twice in a row. Heck, they didn't deserve to be shut out in Game 1. So if we assume they're going to score at least one goal tonight, it's safe to say that defenseman Evan Bouchard will get a point off of that goal.
Edmonton has scored 63 goals through these playoffs and Bouchard has points on 27 of those goals (43%). It helps that he's out there so much. Because the Oilers can't trust the Nurse-Ceci pair, Bouchard is averaging well over 20 minutes a night. In Game 1, he was out there for 27:17.
With that type of ice time, he can get on the end of a point simply by accident! But for betting purposes, I like that Bouch has hit this line 80% in his last 20 games and nearly 75% of the time this entire season.
Connor McDavid Player Prop Today: U0.5 Power Play Points (-125)
I hit on fading the Oilers power play in Game 1 so I'm going to test my luck again in Game 2.
The Panthers are now 8/8 on the penalty kill against the Oilers this season. They know how to stop this Edmonton PP. On their three power plays in Game 1, Edmonton only created 0.94xG (on six shots). It's clear that Paul Maurice and his crew of coaches know how to shut them down. I'm riding this bet again into Game 2.
Aleksander Barkov Player Prop Today: O2.5 SOG (-115)
In his playoff career, Sasha Barkov has hit the OVER on a 2.5-shot line 39 times in 65 games (60%).
I get that in these playoffs he's only hit O2.5 shots eight times in 18 games (44%), but he was only one shot away in Game 1 and Florida only managed a pathetic 18 shots on goal. No doubt Florida gets a bit more puck possession and by that virtue a few more pucks on the net. We just need the captain, who averages over 21 minutes a night, to get one more shot on the net from his total in Game 1. That should be easily done.
