NHL Playoffs Players Props Today: Panthers vs Oilers Game 3
[nhl_bet_50_get_10:BET99-2374158]Connor McDavid Player Props Today: O0.5 Power Play Points (-125)
The Oilers' power play can't be held scoreless forever by Florida. While the Cats have been perfect against them all year (including the regular season), statistically speaking the dam has to break at some point.
In two games and seven opportunities, the Oilers PP has seven shots on net and a combined 1.25xG. They should have scored at least once by now. Previously in the playoffs, Edmonton had scored 19 goals on 51 opportunities (37%). They'd also scored 3.05 goals above expected in that situation.
They're going to make good on their opportunities. And when they do McDavid will be there. The Oilers phenom has points on 14 of the Oilers' 19 power-play goals in these playoffs (74%).
Vladimir Tarasenko Player Props Today: O1.5 SOG (-140)
The Stanley Cup champion from 2019 has hit this prop in six straight games and seven times over his last nine (78%). Against Edmonton, he's done it in seven of 10 games and averages 3.7 shots against the Oilers over his career.
Tarasenko is third on the Panthers roster for iCF against the Oilers at 10 (Montour has 12 while Tkachuk has 11). He's getting plenty of looks. With 10 iCF he's averaging 5 shot attempts per game and getting half of those attempts on net. That's an average of 2.5, more than enough to hit our line tonight.
Aaron Ekblad Player Props Today: O1.5 Blocks (-150)
I'm assuming his ankle is fine enough to play on. The Panthers captain was on the ice for the morning skate prior to Game 3 so he should be GTG.
He's hit the OVER on his block prop six times in his last eight games (75%). Since the 2021-22 season, Ekblad has gone 7-0 for his blocks prop in games against Edmonton. To me, this seems like a lock.
