NHL Playoffs Player Props Today: Stars vs Oilers Game 4

We went 2-for-3 in our NHL playoff player prop picks for last night so let's try to complete the sweep tonight with three fresh picks for Game 4 between the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Arena.

Here are three picks that Josie Costigan and I believe are the right player prop bets to make tonight:

Roope Hintz Player Prop Today: OVER 0.5 Points (+100)

After missing the final contests of the last series, Hintz was determined to make up for lost time. The 27-year-old notched two assists in his return to the playoffs, generating the plays for the first two goals of Robertson’s hattrick special. When coming off a multi-point night, Hintz has etched his name on the scoresheet in 10 of the 17 matchups that followed this season, including once this postseason.

Connor McDavid Player Prop Today: UNDER 3.5 SOG (+125)

I know McDavid had six shots on goal in a losing effort in Game 3, but in the next game after a loss, and where he hit OVER 3.5 shots, he's cleared O3.5 once or 8% of the time.

I don't have faith that he'll cover O3.5 shots tonight. In the playoffs, he's averaging 2.9 shots on net and has cleared O3.5 shots only 7 times in 15 games (47%).

Evan Bouchard Player Prop Today: OVER 0.5 Assists (-140)

Bouch has at least one assist in 10 of his 15 playoff games. He's just got a knack for getting in on scoring plays. That probably has a lot to do with how much ice he's seeing. Bouchard has been given no less than 24:28 of ice time in each of the three games in this series. He's averaging a flat 25 minutes in the playoffs.

With that type of ice time and with a team that has the second-highest goals per game (3.53), Bouchard is going to get on the end of something. Even if just by accident.
