Red Wings, Stars on NHL lines

Detroit will open a four-game road trip on Tuesday with a visit to Texas, where they'll face off against the Dallas Stars in NHL betting action. The Stars will be a favorite in this contest at home, where they have won three of four head-to-head.

The Red Wings have been spectacular at home with 12 straight victories, but they have lost six of their past nine road games. Detroit did win the opener in the season series with Dallas 5-2, but that came at Joe Louis Arena in the Motor City.

Jimmy Howard has been seeing a ton of action in net for Detroit, and he will likely get the start against Dallas. Howard is just 3-4-1 in eight starts against the Stars.

If past history is any indication then Dallas could see the majority of action on the NHL betting lines at 5Dimes, but the Red Wings as an underdog is always an attraction. Three of the last four between these teams have made winners of OVER bettors in totals betting.

St. Louis and Phoenix will go at each other in NHL betting action on Tuesday night with both teams trying to avoid slumping any more than they have of late.

These teams are within a couple of wins of each other this season and they have split the past four games, which means the Blues will likely be a small home favorite at 5Dimes in this matchup.

St. Louis has only dropped three games in regulation at home and they should see most of the attention from bettors on the NHL betting lines.

Boston will take on the New Jersey Devils in NHL betting action on Wednesday night this week.

The Bruins have lost just four times in regulation on the road this season, and they have won four of the last five head-to-head against the Devils. Only the Rangers and Boston have been as good as New Jersey in the Eastern Conference in the past 10 games, all with identical 7-3-0 records.
