Same-Game Parlay Leg 1: Hurricanes ML

This game went from favoring the Canes at -118 to a -110 pick 'em and now slightly favoring the Rangers. That's likely because the sportsbooks are trying to balance out the action with 95% of the cash and 85% of the tickets on the Rangers. And I'm going to take the bait!

Look, Carolina has gone toe-to-toe with the Rangers in this series. All four games have been decide by a single goal. The only reason the Rangers are in a 3-1 lead in this series is because the Canes' power play has been pure garbage at 1-for-17 (6%).

Scoring that power play goal in Game 4 is massive. Carolina is 38-16SU (70%) this year when scoring at least one power-play goal. I'm on the Hurricanes side today and I'll take the extra value given by the sportsbooks.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 2: OVER 1.5 Goals P1

The first period OVER has been money in this matchup hitting five times in the seven meetings between these two Metro rivals this season. In this series, it's 3-1. Look at their recent playoff history, the first-period total has gone OVER 1.5 goals seven times in the last eight games! That's a crazy 88%.

As bettors, we're looking for trends that hit 80% or more. Well, this is one of those trends.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 3: Seth Jarvis Anytime Goal

In my expert picks I mentioned that Jarvis led the Canes in power play goals this regular season. And now that the Hurricanes have got the PP goal monkey off their back, that formerly second-best PP in the league can get back to what it does best; scoring goals.

Jarvis only has one point in the series, a goal from Game 1. Since then he's gone quiet with no goals on eight shots. Jarvis has scored on 13.5% of his shots in his career. He should have scored at least once more in this series. He is due.
