UNDER May Be the Play as Knights Visit Favored Bruins

Brad Marchand Marc-Andre Fleury NHL Hockey Betting Preview Vegas Golden Knights vs Boston Bruins

The Vegas Golden Knights’ grueling East Coast road trip has already featured a little bit of everything – and they hope to add an upset victory to that list as they tangle with the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night. The Golden Knights have a win, a loss and a shootout defeat through the first three games of their eight-game trek, but they have lost four straight to the Bruins.

Vegas Golden Knights vs Boston Bruins

Opening Odds Analysis

Boston kicked things off as a -135 favorite, but that line jumped almost immediately to -145. The total has held steady at 6.

Vegas News & Notes

Vegas remains in the hunt for top spot in the hilariously crowded Pacific Division – but getting back to the pinnacle will require turning things around on the road. The Golden Knights have dropped five of their past six games overall following a four-game losing skid and still have trips to Raleigh, Nashville, Tampa and Sunrise before finally returning to Sin City.

But while the past two weeks haven’t provided much in the way of standings help, things are turning around: the Golden Knights took three of four points from their trip through eastern Ontario and western Quebec, scoring eight goals over that span after managing just seven over their previous four games. And even more encouraging – seven different players scored.

Boston News & Notes

Boston has annihilated the Pacific Division in recent encounters, coming into Tuesday’s game having won 15 of the previous 17 meetings. And the Bruins could use any boost they can get, having dropped three of their past four games following Sunday’s 4-3 loss in Pittsburgh. The Bruins have just eight wins in their previous 22 games after opening the season 20-3-5.

But as you might expect, the Bruins are favored thanks in no small part to the scoring exploits of Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, who should be popular prop plays yet again. Marchand has four goals and two assists in five career meetings with the Golden Knights, while Pastrnak has three goals and three assists in five games vs Vegas.

Betting Pick: UNDER

Both teams have had issues scoring goals of late and have converted the OVER just once in their first five encounters.
