NHL Odds Clash: Ducks vs. Hawks

The top two teams in the Western Conference will meet on the ice in Southern California on Wednesday night as the Anaheim Ducks play host to the Chicago Blackhawks in NHL betting action.

Anaheim has already managed to beat Chicago once this season, winning 3-2 as a road underdog on the NHL betting lines back on February 12. That was the Ducks' second win in a row over the Hawks, with the OVER/UNDER going 1-4 in their last five meetings.

First Four Odds: Liberty vs. NC A&T

By winning the Big South Tournament, the Liberty Flames became just the second 20-loss team in college basketball history to make it to the NCAA Tournament. In the First Four they will face MEAC champion North Carolina A&T, who are 7-0 ATS in games featuring a spread this season.

One of these schools will pick up its first NCAA Tournament win ever as Liberty (15-20 SU) is 0-2 SU all-time in NCAA Tournament games and North Carolina A&T is 0-9 all-time. The winner will advance into the Field of 64 as a No. 16 seed to face No. 1 Louisville.

The Aggies sit at 19-16 (7-0 ATS) on the season. By comparison, the Flames are currently 15-20 (5-3 ATS). Looking to wager on the totals? North Carolina A&T is 2-3 OU, and Liberty is 4-1 OU.

First Four Odds: MidTen vs. Saint Mary's

Middle Tennessee is 14-1 SU and 9-5-1 ATS over its last 15 games, and will take on a Saint Mary’s team in the First Four on Tuesday that is also hot with a 14-2 SU and 8-8 ATS record over its last 16 games.

The winner will earn a No. 11 seed in the Round of 64 and take on No. 6 Memphis.

The total has gone OVER in seven of Middle Tennessee’s last 10 games and in three of Saint Mary’s last four games. Saint Mary’s is 2-2 SU and ATS in its last four NCAA Tournament games while Middle Tennessee is making its first tournament appearance since back in 1989.

Supporters of the Blue Raiders have watched them go 28-5 and 15-14-1 ATS on the year, while the Gaels are at 27-6 and 15-16 ATS. In totals betting, the Gaels are 14-14, while the Blue Raiders have a 15-13 mark.

Missouri vs Colorado State odds preview: Midwest betting

Missouri takes on Colorado State Thursday, as betting in the Midwest Region tips off.

This game, at Rupp Arena, pits the No. 8 Tigers in their first season of SEC play, against the Rams of the Mountain West. Colorado State is just 2-8-1 ATS in its past 11 games and has been a solid OVER play lately at 6-0-1.

The 25-8 Rams count on Colton Iverson. They did not have a single win over a Top 25 team this season. Missouri (23-10) meanwhile beat Illinois and Florida and count on Laurence Bowers (forward) and Jabari Brown (guard) for their scoring.

The Tigers will try to spoil to the party on Thursday; they are 14-15 ATS against the number this season, while the Rams are 13-14-2 ATS. Missouri is 16-12 on the totals; Colorado State is 12-12-1.

Ohio State vs Iona betting preview

The Ohio State Buckeyes are primed for a deep run in the West region and they take their first step as a big favorite against the Iona Gaels.

The Buckeyes, champions of the tough Big Ten, are 13.5-point favorites over the MAAC champs from Iona. Its a 2 vs 15 battle, which produced two huge upsets a year ago.

In reality, the Gaels will need a huge performance from guard Lamont Jones just to stay close. The Buckeyes have been on a roll, winning 8 in a row (7-1 ATS) and dominating as a favorite (6-1 ATS).

Iona won five straight to end the year, and the OVER might be an intriguing bet here (7-1 past 8 as double-digit underdog).

The Gaels will look to vanquish their hosts on Friday, as they are 15-16 ATS versus the spread this season, while the Buckeyes are 19-12 ATS. Iona is 16-11 against the total, while Ohio State is 11-18-1 versus the number.

Creighton vs Cincinnati Midwest Betting

The MVC champion Creighton Bluejays will tangle with the Cincinnati Bearcats Friday with a spot in the Round of 32 at stake in the Midwest bracket.

Creighton is the 7 seed while the Bearcats are a dangerous 10 seed opponent. The Jays are 27-7 and rely heavily on forward Doug McDermott, one of the nation's best players.

Cincinnati was 22-11 on the year, but secured three wins over Top 25 teams and were tough in the Big East. They rely on guard Sean Kilpatrick.

Creighton has won 7 in row as favorite while Cincy is 1-7 ATS in its past 8 games. Both teams have been trending heavily UNDER.

The Bluejays sit at 27-7 (17-14-1 ATS) on the season. By comparison, the Bearcats are currently 22-11 (11-18 ATS). Looking to wager on the totals? Creighton is 10-20 OU, and Cincinnati is 6-22 OU.

New Mexico vs Harvard: West odds pick

Mountain West champions New Mexico Lobos earned a No. 3 seed and face the Harvard Crimson in the first round of the West Region in Utah.

The 14-seeded Crimson won the Ivy League but remain a solid underdog here against the Lobos. New Mexico is 7-2 ATS in its past 9 games overall and a solid 9-3-2 ATS in 14 recent games as a favorite.

Harvard may be overmatched here but they are 6-1 ATS in their past 7 games as an underdog.

New Mexico will face the 19-9 Crimson, who own a 13-12-1 ATS mark on the season. In totals betting, the Lobos are 12-19 favoring the UNDER so far this season while the Crimson are 13-12 favoring the OVER.

Arizona vs Belmont West region picks

Ohio Valley champion Belmont gets the 11 seed in a battle against Arizona Thursday as West Region betting action tips off on Utah.

The Arizona Wildcats, the 6 seed in the West, were 4.5-point favorites over the Bruins. They earned solid wins over Florida and Miami early in the season to keep them in the top half of the bracket even after losing to UCLA in the Pac 12 semifinals.

Belmont is 19-2 SU in its last 21 games but just 1-10 SU as an underdog since 2009. Can they overcome that mark to handle the bigger Wildcats?

The Bruins will look to vanquish their hosts on Thursday, as they are 14-15 ATS versus the spread this season, while the Wildcats are 14-16 ATS. Belmont is 14-12 against the total, while Arizona is 10-18-1 versus the number.

Gonzaga vs Southern betting: West region odds

The Gonzaga Bulldogs start their first March Madness run as a No. 1 seed Thursday when they battle the No. 16 Southern Jaguars.

After years of middle and lower seeds, the WCC champs earned a top seed for 2013 in the West Region. Their foes got here by winning the SWAC conference title and face a 21.5-point spread in the opening game.

Gonzaga has won 14 in a row SU and have been trending UNDER the total (14-1-1 past 16 Zags games). But the Jaguars are on a hot 19-3 SU run in their past 22 games.

Southern counts heaviily upon guard Malcolm Miller while Gonzaga gets solid contributions from Kelly Olynyk (forward), Elias Harris (forward) and Kevin Pangos (guard).

This season, the Bulldogs are 31-2 overall and 17-12-2 ATS ATS, while the Jaguars are 23-9 and 5-1 ATS against the number. As for the totals, Gonzaga boasts a 9-19-1 on the OU, and Southern is 2-1.

Saint Louis vs New Mexico State betting

Saint Louis comes in to March Madness as the nation's hottest betting team with a scorching 15-1 ATS mark in their past 16 games.

They face a New Mexico State Aggies team that earned a 13 seed but had no Top 25 victories all season long. New Mexico State has lost six straight tournament games since 1993.

The Billikens meanwhile are a top pick to make noise in the Midwest bracket. They are 27-6 and won the Atlantic 10 conference this season.

They count on forward Dwayne Evans and enjoyed an RPI ranking of 16. They are also 17-3 ATS in their past 20 games as a favorite, while the Aggies played OVER 7-0-1 past 8 games away from home.

Saint Louis will face the 24-10 Aggies, who own a 17-11-3 ATS mark on the season. In totals betting, the Billikens are 12-16-1 favoring the UNDER so far this season while the Aggies are 12-15-2 favoring the OVER.
