Video: Preakness Stakes Preview & Betting Tips

The Preakness Stakes field is set and as usual I spoke to our horse betting expert, Mike Dempsey, to help us out.

I asked him:

Preakness Stakes Odds: Always Dreaming Draws Four Post, 4-5 Chalk for Preakness

A field of 10 will head to the gate on Saturday in the $1.5-million Preakness Stakes (G1) at Pimlico, but only one has a shot at Triple Crown glory, and

UNDER Almost A Sure Thing When Dodgers, Rockies Meet

When baseball bettors think of the Colorado Rockies they think of the thin air of Coors Field and OVERs. But that couldn’t be further from the truth when the Rockies clash with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In the past 24 meetings between the NL West rivals, the UNDER has cashed 18 times including Games 2 and 3 of their current four-game series.

Struggling Pitchers Take The Mound In St. Louis

It wasn’t that long ago that a matchup between Jake Arrieta and Adam Wainwright would be a marquee pitching duel. However, both hurlers have been floundering early this season with Arrieta posting a 5.35 ERA and Wainwright a 6.37. The two pitchers will take to the bump at Busch Stadium Sunday when the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals close out their three-game series.

Warriors, Spurs Finally Meet In The Postseason

Despite winning the NBA Western Conference each of the past two seasons, the Golden State Warriors managed to avoid a series with the San Antonio Spurs on both occasions. Not this time around. The Warriors and Spurs met three times during the regular season with Gregg Popovich and company picking up two wins while holding the best offense in the NBA to 98.3 ppg.

Ducks Look To Avoid Second Consecutive 0-2 Hole

The Anaheim Ducks have proven they are the comeback kids of the 2017 NHL playoffs. The Ducks have come from behind in five of their eight postseason victories and found themselves trailing to Edmonton Oilers 0-2 during their second round series. Anaheim, who had some of the worst wins from behind percentages in the NHL during the regular season, can’t afford to dig themselves in too deep against the Nashville Predators.

Globe Life Park Has Been A Boon For UNDERS

Despite traditionally being known as a hitter-friendly field, Globe Life Park continues to be one of the best UNDER locales in the MLB. The Texas Rangers and their visiting opponents have finished the game UNDER in 13 of the past 15 games in Arlington. We will see if that trend continues when the Rangers host the Oakland Athletics on Saturday.

Cubs Continue Their Winning Ways In The Gateway City

With a 3-2 victory in the series opener Friday, the Chicago Cubs extended their dominance in St. Louis. The Cubbies have now gone 7-2 in their past nine games at Busch Stadium, which includes picking up victories in three of four in the Gateway to the West this season. Chicago and the St. Louis Cardinals will continue their three games set Saturday.

Senators Need To Shake Struggles In Pittsburgh For Game 1

The Ottawa Senators find themselves as underdogs once again when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Sens have had a world of issues visiting the ‘Burgh with only one win in their past 10 games on the Penguins’ home ice. Only once this season did the Sens and Pens do battle at PPG Paints Arena with Pittsburgh ultimately winning an 8-5 offensive onslaught.
