  • For the first time since 2012, an English Premier League team made it all the way to the Champions League final but in order for Liverpool to realize their European trophy hopes, they’ll have to slay a mighty dragon in Real Madrid and best the prince of football, Cristiano Ronaldo.

    The betting odds may favor the kings of European football but this is a lot closer than you might think. Liverpool’s ruthless attacking style will wreak havoc on an iffy Los Blancos backline and could help produce one of the more exciting Champions League finals in recent memory.

    Combining for an incredible 29 goals so far (a record for any combination of three players in a single Champions League campaign), Liverpool’s attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will most certainly be the main topic of discussion on the Real training ground this week. Yet to be stopped by any defense in Europe, though, Real manager Zinedine Zidane can only hope to contain the Reds’ brilliant front three.

    The incumbents are installed as +120 favorites to win the game in regular time but given Real’s struggles in La Liga, extra time could be in the cards. Ronaldo and company have drawn three of their last five matches (winning just once) and they’ve conceded eight goals in that span. A moneyline draw can be had at +270 at Sportsbook and that might be the best value bet on the board.

    All factors considered, a total of 3 could be far too low for this contest. Liverpool has gotten to this point with a merciless attack and pressing style that I cannot see Jurgen Klopp abandoning now.

    If both sides trade forward runs like I’m anticipating, we should be in store for an absolute banger in Kiev this Saturday. Bet the UNDER at your bankroll’s peril.
