Premier League Odds: Liverpool On Lock

English Premiership League Odds 2020 Mo Salah Liverpool

Domestic European soccer leagues are starting to get back to the pitch with Bundesliga and La Liga already resuming their schedule and now the English Premier League is set to follow with fixtures on tap for Wednesday, June 17.

Liverpool was as dominant as ever prior to the suspension of the Premiership season due to COVID-19 and remains an astronomical favorite to win the league title, which would be its first in 30 years.

When looking at EPL odds, it’s almost laughable how much Liverpool is favored to win by. They lead the second-place team, Manchester City, by 25 points in the Premiership standings with each team still having nine games to play.

Here’s what the odds are if you want to bet on one of these teams to win the Premier League title:

As you can see, it would take a miracle for the Reds to choke this away and they’re only two wins from clinching the title. When Is The EPL’s First Game Back?

The English Premiership announced last week that the first two games will kick off on Wednesday, June 17, and involve the four teams that have played one fewer game than the other 16 clubs: Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Manchester City vs Arsenal.

After the initial day of fixtures, a full round of matches is scheduled for the weekend of June 19-21. There are 92 remaining fixtures in the 2019-20 season with each club still to play nine or 10 matches. Andrew Avery has a full rundown of the best and worst EPL bets to get you ready for the first weekend back on the pitch.

What Do Remaining Teams Have Left To Play For?

While only one EPL team can win the league championship, there’s still plenty of motivation for the remaining clubs, including the Champions League qualification spots up for grabs and the battle among a host of teams to avoid relegation.

One of the more interesting betting props is which English club will finish third in the standings. Leicester City sits in the driver’s seat as the -300 favorite but it’s not a lock with so many games to go. Teams like Chelsea (+400) and Manchester United (+800) still pose a threat to Leicester, with Chelsea trailing by five points and Man U eight points back.

Here are the full betting odds for the EPL third-place finish prop:

How to Read EPL Odds

Check out any soccer betting site and you’ll see the odds to win Premier League play displayed like this:

Liverpool -100000

Manchester City +10000

For a typical straight-up bet, the favorite would be denoted by the minus sign (-). Similar to a moneyline bet with a clear front-runner, the club with the lowest odds is the fave, the rest are underdogs.

Let’s say you believe that Man City is going to put on a clinic and destroy the other teams on the pitch and come back to win the EPL title. If you were to lay down $100 on them, you’d get a payout of $10,100 – your original money comes back, coupled with your prize of $10,000.

Use our Odds Calculator to find out what you’d win based on the amount bet and odds offered.

What is a Premier League Futures Bet?

A futures bet is made in advance of an event. In this case you’re looking at the odds to win the Premier League. It can be said that all bets are made on future events. Except in this case, you can bet weeks or even months beforehand.

If you see odds you like, jump on them quickly. The lines will shift as more games are played and injuries occur. To get more value on a winning bet, try to get a club at plus money (+). This isn’t to say you shouldn’t take a team at minus money (-), but you won’t get as big a payout as you would with a winning underdog.
