Inter faces tough test at Fiorentina in bid to cut gap on top two

Inter Milan may have won its last three games in a row across all competitions, but they will face a real test of just how far they have come on Sunday evening when they travel to take on a strong Fiorentina side. The Viola have also been in good form themselves over the last few weeks and still have an outside chance of making the top four with 14 league games still left to play.

Fiorentina out to carry on good form

After a slow start to the season, Fiorentina’s form has begun to pick up over recent weeks as the side strives for consistency over the remaining third of the campaign. They are unbeaten in their last six league outings but it should also be pointed out that four of those matches ended in a draw – Fiorentina needs to start turning those stalemates into victories if they are to move up the standings.

Inter, by way of comparison, continues to shoot itself in the foot. No sooner does it look as if they are putting a run together than they go and lose a couple of games to drop momentum – they have, however, won their two most recent league contests.

While the betting is close in this one, it is visiting Inter that comes in as the slight favorite to take the points. This should be a very closely fought affair, but we are expecting home advantage to ultimately play a deciding factor in the outcome. While it is no easy task trying to predict the exact scorelines of football games, a narrow 1-0 win for Fiorentina is priced at +800 and may well be worth a bet when you take into account their recent upturn in fortunes.

Such a result would then also allow you to back UNDER 2.5 goals in the game, which is priced low at just -125, as well as a “No” to both teams scoring, which is also at short odds of -106. Therefore, in an attempt to give any potential winnings from this key clash a boost, you may wish to consider combo betting, which allows you to select multiple outcomes at higher odds.
