Top games in the Premier League, Bundesliga, and Serie A give soccer bettors plenty to wager on this weekend as they try to pad their bankroll early in the campaign. Here's a look at some of the Sportsbookting matchups on the schedule for the week ahead . . .
Leicester vs. Tottenham
This season has been a little surprising for both of these teams, as Leicester is off to a 2-0 start and Tottenham has yet to win after two matches. Leicester has yet to play a top tier EPL squad and this match will be a big test for them. After their 4-2 Sportsbook win over Sunderland at home they scored a road win over West Ham in their last match. The Spurs played to a 1-0 loss on the road in their season opener and then were big betting favorites at home in their last match playing to a 2-2 draw against Stoke City.
Sportsbook has Leicester as the slight home favorite posted at +160 with Tottenham at +163 and a draw line at +230.
Everton vs. Manchester City
Man City has gotten off to a great 2-0 start to the EPL season and beat defending league champion Chelsea 3-0 in their last match. They have yet to concede a goal this season and Vincent Kompany has two goals in two matches. Everton has one win and one draw in their first two matches where they have scored five goals and conceded two. In their last match they looked great on the road beating Southampton 3-0.
Everton has odds of +375 at home with Man City at -154 and a draw line of +300 at Sportsbook.
Arsenal vs. Liverpool
The Monday EPL match is a big one with Liverpool off to a 2-0 start facing Arsenal, who won their second match on the road after being shocked in a home-Sportsbook loss to West Ham. The Reds have not conceded a goal in two matches and their defense is key early in the season since they are still without injured star striker Daniel Sturridge.
Arsenal is the Sportsbook home betting favorite at -138 with Liverpool at +350 and a draw line of +275.
Hoffenheim vs. Bayern Munich
Bayern got off to a great start in defending their Bundesliga title with a 5-0 blowout win in their season opener. No surprise they are a big road betting favorite facing a Hoffenheim squad that lost their season opener 2-1. Can the home squad keep Bayern’s offense in check while scoring on their great defense? Oddsmakers don’t think so.
Sportsbook has Hoffenheim with odds of +850 with Bayern at -333 and a draw line of +425.
Juventus vs. Udinese
Juventus begins their defense of their Scudetto at home as big betting favorites facing Udinese. Udinese flirted with relegation last season, finishing in 16th place, and it is pretty obvious they have a tough test in their opener facing a Juve squad that easily won Serie A last season, finishing 17 points clear of second place AS Roma, after scoring the most goals in the league and conceding the fewest.
Sportsbook has Juventus as the major favorites in this match posted at -400 with Udinese at +1100 and a draw line of +450.
Fiorentina vs. AC Milan
Fiorentina had a solid last season finishing fourth in the Serie A table and they open this season at home facing an AC Milan team that looks to recapture past glory. Milan finished 10th in the league table last season, which saw them fail to even qualify for the Europa League. Fiorentina ended the season last year on fire winning their last five matches and they began this season playing well before league play including a 1-0 win over defending EPL champion Chelsea in the International Champions Cup.
Fiorentina has odds of +115 at Sportsbook with AC Milan at +240 and a draw line of +230.
