Middlesbrough Favored to be the Best Premier League Newcomer

Another year of Premier League football is set to kick off and that means there are three new teams who will battle to stay in England’s top division. Props have been rolling in in anticipation for the new season; keep checking OddsShark for their analysis and to find out where you can bet them.

Bet365 has a slew of season-long props you can bet on before August 14 but a very interesting one is which of the teams that were promoted this year will finish highest on the Premier League table. The three teams are Middlesbrough, Burnley and Hull City.

Middlesbrough +100

The North England club that replaced their rivals Newcastle United in the Premier League are currently the favorites to finish highest of the newcomers in the league after placing second on the Sky Bet Championship League table last season.

Once they were promoted, Middlesbrough immediately hit the transfer market and acquired Dutch star Marten de Roon from Seria A team, Atalanta, and Spanish forward Alvaro Negredo from Valencia. Middlesbrough spent seven years in the Championship after their last demotion from the Premier League so they will be motivated to stay up.

Burnley +200

The boys who play their football out of Lancashire County are just one year removed from their last Premier League appearance and are coming off a first-place finish in the Championship League.

Burnley has done little in the transfer market to improve their club this summer and their manager Sean Dyche has admitted that it’s “hard to get deals done”. This sentiment from the leader of a football club does not inspire a ton of confidence and is probably a reason why this Championship League winning team is not the favorite to place the best among the freshly promoted squads.

Hull City +275

Burnley and Hull City seem to be locked at the hip the last couple seasons as they both received their marching orders from the Premier League in the 2014-15 season and were both promoted back to the EPL this year.

Hull is the least favorite team to place highest among the newcomers as they have done absolutely nothing since their promotion. A bet on them seems like a pretty good waste of wealth at this point and I can see an immediate demotion in their future.
