Premier League: Gameweek 31 Betting Odds and Picks

After what feels like an eternity, the Premier League is back and there is plenty of betting value on this weekend’s oddsboard.

The biggest contest pits Tottenham at Chelsea and Spurs have struggled mightily at Stamford Bridge down the years. They’ve lost five of their last six meetings in all competitions when visiting Chelsea and the weekend finale has plenty of implications.

Spurs sit five points up on the Blues and two points back of Liverpool with a game in hand entering this match and will look to firmly hold on to that coveted fourth Champions League spot. But no Harry Kane will be tough sledding for the boys from North London and their +205 moneyline price at online shop  Bovada is proof that they’re up against it.

But that’s not the only game that features great betting value. Andrew Avery is back to cap all of the Gameweek 31 (32 for some clubs) action and pick his favorite side, total and prop for the weekend. If you want to check him and Rob Trites cap all 10 games, check out the video above.

Bet on the Premier League today at Bovada

Man City First-Half Moneyline (-125)

The league leaders at this price to be up at halftime? Yes, please!

Everton has been a much better side of late as the club brings a two-game winning streak into this one and they’ve got a firm hold on ninth in the table. Obviously this is a tough contest with one of Europe’s best teams visiting Goodison Park and Man City will be looking for revenge here.

The reverse fixture back in August was a 1-1 draw and Everton thrashed the Citizens in this fixture one season ago by a score of 4-0.

The Toffees’ list of missing players is long, however, as Ashley Williams serves a suspension and James McCarthy and Gylfi Sigurdsson are doubts. Man City is relatively healthy but has the depth to score a big revenge anyway. The full-match moneyline is pricey, so backing City in the first half here is great betting value.

Watford-Bournemouth OVER 1 1st Half (-120)

Pretty good value for the first-half total here considering these are two teams that can find the back of the net and don’t necessarily do a good job of keeping the ball out of their own net.

Watford ranks eighth in goals scored at 39 while Bournemouth ranks 10th with 37. Defense is another story, however, as the Hornets concede the third-most in the league at 55 and Bournemouth the seventh-most at 49.

There is a slew of doubts for this match and the reverse fixture provided a nil-nil halftime scoreline, but considering these two are battling it out to get inside the top half of the table, I like goals to be scored often in this one.

Sadio Mane Anytime Scorer (+125)

Crystal Palace ended a four-game losing streak with a 2-0 win away to Huddersfield but they conceded nine times during that skid.

The Reds score at will and don’t miss a beat on the road, where they’ve bagged a league-high 35 goals. Tricky winger Sadio Mane scored in the 1-0 win in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and is being offered at a great price of +125 to score any time here.

But seriously, take your pick here: Mohamed Salah is offered at -150, Roberto Firmino at -110 and even Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at +380 is great value. But Mane, who has bagged eight league goals this season, has just two in his last eight league appearances and is due for one of his big-time performances.

That said, it might be in your best interest to wait until lineups are announced an hour before kickoff. All of these Liverpool stars are coming off appearances for their national teams so just make sure the Senegalese superstar is involved.
