Tunisia Needs A Miracle Win Over France To Advance

After playing to a scoreless draw with Denmark in their first match, Tunisia fell 1-0 to Australia on Saturday as their World Cup hopes dwindled. Mitchell Duke scored the lone goal of the game, a beautiful glancing header in the 23rd minute, to give the Socceroos the victory.

Tunisia has never made it through to the knockout stage of a World Cup and it looks unlikely as ever as they’ll come up against the reigning champions in their final Group D match. The Tunisians have yet to score a goal in Qatar, but they’ll need to defeat France and have Australia and Denmark play to a draw to guarantee them a spot in the Round of 16.

Mbappe’s Brace Lifts France Over Denmark

It was far from comfortable for Les Bleus but they got out with a 2-1 victory over Denmark on Saturday to remain perfect through their first two matches of the World Cup. It took until the 61st minute for France to break through as Kylian Mbappe slotted one home, but Andreas Christensen replied for the Danes just seven minutes later off a corner kick. Not to be denied the win, Mbappe got his brace in the 86th minute and earned France all three points.

France has already locked up top spot in Group D, becoming the first team to earn a berth in the Round of 16. After a rocky match against Denmark, the French will look to get back on track with a resounding win over Tunisia in their final match of the group stage.

Tunisia vs France Game Prop: France To Record A Clean-Sheet Win (+135)

It’s no secret that the French come into this match as a massive favorite, so it should be a relatively straightforward win. If there is one knock against France, it’s that they’ve yet to keep a clean sheet so far in this tournament, but they should be able to keep Tunisia off the board.

Tunisia: Keys to Win

Tunisia needs a win in order to have a chance at advancing, and that means they’ll need to score at least one goal. The nation has claimed just two victories at the World Cup – in 1978 over Mexico and in 2018 over Panama. We’ve seen some crazy upsets already in Qatar, so if Tunisia can find a way to just score a goal, we could see one more.

France: Keys to Win

France certainly didn’t have its best game against Denmark, controlling just 48 percent of possession while putting just seven of their 21 shot attempts on target. That said, Les Bleus will want a nice bounce-back performance to build some extra momentum going into the Round of 16. Olivier Giroud hasn’t looked his best so far so we could see some rotation up front – either way, the French should have plenty of chances to run up the score.
