2015 SuperContest: Week 14 Lines Set

There are some important games for teams hoping to keep their playoff hopes alive in Week 14 of the NFL season, making it tough for entrants in the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.

The Week 14 SuperContest Card features nine games with point spreads of four points or less, including a key AFC North matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals (10-2) and Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5). The Bengals can clinch the division title with a victory and are 2.5-point home favorites on the card while NFL odds at other sportsbooks had them listed mostly at -3 (+100) as of Wednesday.

Cardinals 8.5-Point Favorites for Thursday

The Arizona Cardinals (10-2) will kick off Week 14 by hosting the Minnesota Vikings (8-4) in the Thursday Night Football game, and they are 8.5-point home favorites in the SuperContest. Most sportsbooks in Las Vegas have the Cardinals between -8 and -8.5. However, the Vikings have won 10 of the past 12 meetings, and the underdog is 5-1-1 against the spread in the last seven games between the teams.

Another intriguing matchup has the New England Patriots (10-2) looking to avoid their third consecutive loss as 3-point road favorites against the Houston Texans (6-6) on Sunday Night Football. The Patriots have covered the spread in four of the past five meetings with Houston and have not lost three in a row overall since 2002.

But the Texans also likely need a win to stay on top of the AFC South, as they are currently tied with the Indianapolis Colts (6-6), who visit the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-8) in a pick’em game. The Colts have won the past six meetings with the Jaguars, going 5-1 ATS. Indy has also gone 16-0 straight-up and 13-2-1 against the spread in its last 16 divisional games.

Giants Slim Road Favorites Against Dolphins

The New York Giants (5-7) close out Week 14 by visiting the Miami Dolphins (5-7) and face a must-win situation if they want to win the NFC East. The Giants are 1-point road favorites on the SuperContest Card and currently sit in a three-way tie atop the division with the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles.

New York has arguably the most difficult schedule of the three down the stretch though with home games against the unbeaten Carolina Panthers (12-0) and Eagles and a road matchup with the Minnesota Vikings (8-4). The Dolphins have lost five of the past six meetings.
