Super Computer Week 9 Super Contest Picks

The OddsShark Super Computer continues to plot its plan of attack to overtake the human race, but until then, it will continue making its Super Contest picks. With all 24 Team OddsShark members within eight points of one another, one big week and the Super Computer is threatening the top of the leaderboard.

Here are the Super Computer's Week 9 picks for the Super Contest:

Cowboys -7 vs Browns

The Cleveland Browns have the worst defense in football by a pretty healthy margin. The biggest issue is their run defense, as the Browns have been gashed for 579 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground in their past three outings.

Instead of facing the likes of Matt Forte and Jeremy Hill, the Browns will be up against the best running back in the NFL in Ezekiel Elliott. The Cowboys are 4-0 SU and ATS when Zeke rushes for 100-plus yards, which should be a pretty easy feat against the Browns.

Titans +5 vs Chargers

The Tennessee Titans-San Diego Chargers matchup won’t be the most watched game on the Week 9 board, but the Super Computer is liking the Titans’ chances to cover the +5 spread.

The biggest reason is the man under center for Tennessee. Quarterback Marcus Mariota has thrown for 10 touchdowns while tossing only one interception in his last four games, and he should have a field day against the Chargers secondary. The Titans offense as a whole is starting to turn the corner, and Tennessee is only one game behind Houston in the weak AFC South.

San Diego is one of the most unpredictable teams in the NFL, and betting them as 5-point favorites is dangerous. The Bolts are a measly 3-9 ATS in their last 12 as a favorite.

Packers -7.5 vs Colts

The computer is predicting a 31-18 victory for the Pack, who enter Week 9 with back-to-back ATS wins in their last two games.

The Packers offense hasn’t exactly been lighting it up this season as it is averaging just 342 yards per game. A date with the porous Colts defense might be the perfect remedy, however, as Indy allows a whopping 402 yards per game to opponents.

The Colts have been wildly inconsistent all season long and come in off a 30-14 thumping courtesy of the Kansas City Chiefs. They are just 1-2-1 ATS in four road games this season and this one is shaping up like another in the loss column.

Dolphins -3.5 vs Jets

The trends in this one heavily favor the Jets but these two franchises are heading in opposite directions. The computer is predicting a big 29-16 win for the Dolphins, a score line that would easily cover the given spread.

The Dolphins have been underdogs their last two games and they’ve actually won both of them straight up. Their opponents in Week 9 are an absolutely awful Jets team that barely managed to beat the 0-7 Browns and that’s dealing with multiple significant injuries.

The Fish are coming off their bye week and will have a fully rested Jay Ajayi, who has gone absolutely bananas since he took over the starting rushing gig in Miami. If he has another big day against New York on Sunday, the Dolphins should be celebrating their third straight victory.

Raiders PICK’EM Over Broncos

The Broncos have owned this matchup in recent years, but this year’s Raiders are a much different squad than past years’ teams. They’re averaging almost 70 more yards per game on offense this season compared to last, and although their defense was leaky to start the season, they’ve showed steady improvement over the past three games, allowing offenses to rack up 340 total yards, good enough for fourth-best in the AFC.

Finally back at home after two road games in Florida, the Raiders will use their home-field advantage to squeak out their biggest win of the season.
